on cspan washington journal live

This asshole just said "The rest of the world doesn't understand the errorist threa. They need to wake up"

Are you shitting me?
Really?
Americans should be the last ones talking. Even during ww2 there was no invasion.
Shit Hawaii wasn't even a state yet during peral harbor

The rest of the world actually has to pay for gas and food. And deal with terrorism and pverty,

I'm about to call that fucks office, this is bullshit. Damn Republicans.

1. He's reptilian.
I changed the channel after his stupid comment about "when France and Germany talk to each other, some call that multi-lateral."

2. He probably doesn't read, just like bush and the rest of the admin
and probably has a shallow sense of history - thinks, like bush, the "oceans used to protect us" which they haven't done in over 50 years.

The "rest of the world" has dealt with terrorism for many a year and could teach the US much about dealing with the threat.

3. He's got a slimey boss to support.
And belongs in a stack of naked Republican men, head-sacked, humming Hail to the chief.

4. He's litterally the most liberal republican in the house
We should be thankful until we can get a dem in his district that he's as moderate as he is. Of course I don't automatically think an R after someones name makes them satan so it shows how underserving I am of calling myself a dem according about half the people on this board.

8. I would say...
... that given the actions of Bush* and his minions and enablers, including you, that YOU and THEY do not understand the terrorist threat.

Because if you did, you'd be taking action to counter it instead of taking actions that worsen it.

9. Infuriating as it is, this is how many Americans see this
This is something that has pissed me off for a long time.

When Clinton discussed counterterrorism in 1996 and 97, the Republicans laughed at him and called it a non-issue.

To many Americans, terrorism didn't exist before 9/11. They either didn't know about it or didn't give a shit.

And now, people seem to be willing to pretend that we are the only country that has experienced a terrorist attack firsthand.

Why do right wingers have to be such arrogant pricks?

(Oh yeah, because they are ordained by God Himself)

11. Interesting bravado from a Vietnam conscientious objector
Chris Shays was a CO during Vietnam, and ended up serving in the Peace Corps from 1968-1970 instead. He has said that he wouldn't serve in Vietnam because it was a "politicians' war".

Just what in the hell would he call Iraq then?

Shays may be a moderate Republican who deserves credit for some good measures, like co-sponsoring the House version of McCain-Feingold with Marty Meehan (D-MA), but on these matters he's a damned hypocrite.

If you don't believe me on the CO thing, just do a search for "Christopher Shays conscientious objector".

12. He's still a Republican....
and will vote for George W Bush and Republican policies in general. He is not a friend of Democrats or what we stand for. Respect him as the opposition but don't build him up as an ally.

14. No, and I would not encourage Lieberman to run again either...
We live in times that require tough decisions - not fence sitters and those that play both sides. One side is terribly wrong for us and our nation. They are not equal.
