What happened to the Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003 ?

It is also known as the Patriot Act 2. It takes away more of our Constitutional rights. It's like they have something planned for 2003. Bush is on vacation like last time when something happened. Has anybody heard anything on this ?

Asskroft has been catching flak from legislators about abuses via USA PATRIOT, so congress is not feeling too benevolent about Patriot 2. They are very pissed that "Patriot 1" was rushed through without time for them to really consider it so they're not going to be fooled again. Pariot 2 is basically martial law so if you haven't written to your legislators multiple times in opposition, you need to start writing. Even conservatives are against it so I don't think it has much chance of passing anyway.

The thing to worry about, really, is pieces of it creeping into otherwise benevolent legislation, unnoticed.
