2. That was in our local paper over the weekend.
It made me cry as well. Very moving, that is probably why so many papers pulled it. Can't have the truth slipping out.

6. I was afraid he had lost his edge--this series restores my admiration
Trudeau's Doonesbury remains one of the best. His characters age and grow and change with the times -- some die. We get involved in their lives. Ah well, even Boopsie grew up at some point, and now she's facing the one of the hardest things of all. How many DUers are old enough to remember when Boopsie the cheerleader came out against the Vietnam war when it was revealed that our bombs were killing farm animals? "Baby ducks!" she said in outrage. "Baby ducks!"

Yeah, he can make you cry. Sometimes the realest news is in the funny papers.

7. My Dad lost his leg in WWII
He suffered every day of his life after that.

I'd like to think his suffering meant something. When I see what these SOB's have done to this country, I cry.

What exactly did my Dad (and all other vets) suffer for? I'd like to think it was for democracy, but this country doesn't even try to protect the integrity of our votes.

I cry for what this country has become.
