1. Thanks Disney!
As irritating as it is to see another corporation doing everything they can to curry favor with the Bush junta, they are doing this movie a big favor.

Somebody will distribute this move. Guaranteed. And whichever studio it is will have the dopes at Disney to thank for starting the buzz this early. I just hope they follow through on their threat.

3. Aaron Brown is on at 10 PM Eastern
& then repeated later.

I think the 7 PM slot is Anderson Cooper?

And i am in Hawaii, so this gets very confusing, because I am 6 hours different.

6. you're right..
I changed it.

Sorry, I got my coasts mixed up :)

I'm out in CA and knew it was on at 7:00, but I was typing what I heard Wolf say when I wrote 7:00 eastern. I is a dolt sometimes.

11. Don t apologize
It gets very confusing when not on the East Coast.

I get some shows at the same time they are on in NY, & I get some shows shown in Central time, & I get some shows same as West Coast time.

It is all very confusing!

4. Actually, I think Disney is being very coy about this
I think they are calling out Jeb Bush by pointing out that he is the type to illegally retaliate to corporations that don't do his bidding.

This puts Jeb in a really bad light. I think he may be forced to promise he won't retaliate, and then Disney gets to release the movie and not live in fear of losing tax breaks.

5. It's MM doing that, not Disney. They probably told him privately
and MM made it public. Let's not make heroes outta them.

8. Michael Eisner fights for justice?
Don't think so. One more reason to let Flordia pull out of the Union.
(and Texas)

7. I originally though that as well . . .
but don't want to give them that much credit. The company is pretty messed up right now and I'm not too sure they have the ability to be coy about anything. Plus, I think the info about Jeb's alleged threats came from Moore himself, not Disney.

They may be trying to replicate what happened with Mel Gibson. Our side (rightfully) was so up in arms about it that he lined up interview after interview, article after article. If anyone had any idea that the publicity would lead to a $400 million box office, the best strategy would have been to just ignore it.

But do they have the foresight to pull something like that? That remains to be seen.

9. Disney only does "conservative" movies, not political ones?
"Mr. Moore's agent, Ari Emanuel, said Michael D. Eisner, Disney's chief executive, asked him last spring to pull out of the deal with Miramax. Mr. Emanuel said Mr. Eisner expressed particular concern that it would endanger tax breaks Disney receives for its theme park, hotels and other ventures in Florida, where Mr. Bush's brother, Jeb, is governor."

10. I'm not trying to make them a hero
but it was interesting to me that they brought Jeb Bush up. I wonder if he's already done something to them?

13. According to this site, this was a clever publicity stunt by Moore...
..and being a marketing/PR person, if this true I have to say it was brilliant on Moore's part:

(seems to be some O'Reilly "I'm not a Republican" Republican.)

14. more on Marc Cooper.
He is one of those conservative democrats-"liberal"- who spends as much time ridiculing and criticizing the crazed leftists as he does talking about anything else.
For example, he has criticized protest rallies against the Iraq war, a while back. Always finds some reason to defend his conservatism--yet ends up in the Nation occasionally.
Read the LA Weekly, his comments are usually centrist, at best.
