Proof that the modern repig is a soulless human monster
" It sounds like a Sci-Fi movie conceived in the mind of Betty Friedan: Misogynist Muslim males in an Iraqi prison under the control of a female general are leashed like dogs for the amusement of female guards during a game of carnal hijinks -- "2004: A Sexual Space Odyssey."

What once was a men-are-dogs satirical cartoon in feminist magazines is now a photo on the front page of newspapers. Will Hillary Clinton, who sits on the Senate Committee on Armed Services set to browbeat Donald Rumsfeld today, apologize for the photo of the female guard leashing a Muslim male? Where did the female GI ever get such an idea -- at the March for Women's Lives? Hillary Clinton spoke at that vile event and wasn't shocked by the crude behavior there. Why is she so shocked now?"

snip

"And why is the behavior depicted in the photos so appalling to liberals? If the behavior had been voluntary, liberals would call it free speech. Are they upset that the war has gone pay-per-view? In the liberal mind, such acts form an important identity and alternative lifestyle worthy of respect and tolerance. As the pop culture they have bestowed upon us might say, 'Don't be ignorant.' Who is to say those acts are wrong? After all, in Massachusetts now, they are construed as courtship.

The Democrats don't want this to ever happen again? Okay, let's discuss Bill Clinton's Don't ask, Don't tell, Don't care policy. Could that perhaps have something to do with indiscipline in the ranks? No, that's not a permissible thought, according to the Democrats. We must close our eyes to the obvious lest the march of progress in the military grind to a halt."

No need to click on the link, there's nothing else there but this kind of trash reasoning.

There comes a point when I worry that I will lose faith in the human race.

2. Oh My
Well, I guess I knew it would all turn out to be liberals fault anyway. No matter how the Bush administration fails, it's liberalism fault. That's what you call convienence.

3. Appalling.
"If the behavior had been voluntary, liberals would call it free speech."

And if you kill yourself, it's called suicide. If someone else kills you, it's called murder. What's your point, a-hole?

Imagine if all of the time these people spend twisting logic and setting truth on its head was spent bettering mankind. What a wonderful world that would be.

7. If the behavior had been voluntary,
it would be on cable channels owned by a bunch of well-known conservatives.

4. Yes, It's Bill Clinton's fault
Okay, let's discuss Bill Clinton's Don't ask, Don't tell, Don't care policy. Could that perhaps have something to do with indiscipline in the ranks? Yes, it's Bill Clinton's fault that a bunch of little boys and girls in green uniforms have homosexual, voyeuristic, totalitarian fantasies of torture and violence.

It's Bill Clinton's fault that 767 Americans are dead.

It's Bill Clinton's fault that there are no weapons of mass destruction.

It's Bill Clinton's fault 12,000 civilians in Iraq have been killed.

It's Bill Clinton's fault that our troops are not being greeted with flowers and kisses.

It's Bill Clinton's fault the war is costing over $150 billion.

It's Bill Clinton's fault there has been a 20% drop in public support for the war.

It's Bill Clinton's fault Zapatero won in Spain and they pulled their troops out.

When Bush brings back the draft next year it will be Bill Clinton's fault.

How absolutely delusional.

8. Simply stunning
Just a reminder of how far some republicans will go to justify themselves. Their insane arguments cause normal people's heads to explode.

Hang your head in shame, George W. Bush. You and your collaborators have so much to answer for. You cause the sacrifices our honorable soldiers are making to be in vain.

9. what is this kind of debate/reasoning called
They use this form of debating, arguing on all subjects. they usually have several bible quotes. IT is a form of intimadation. It leaves no room for normal debate in response. It is so outrageous. Abusers use this on victims. It is confounding type of doublepspeak that sounds like logic but is not.

How does one address or speak to this? I know many believe this line of thinking. I have seen this nasty, belligerent type of reasoning elsewhere. I just don't know how you stand up to it or squash it. How do we get people to understand reason, morals when this type of debate is used.

Rush uses this a lot. It is very powerful in convincing those who do not think for themselves or who are subseptable to brainwashing. I find myself resistant and appalled and tongue tied to attack it or defend against it or what ever.

13. demagogue - using peoples emotions and prejudice to control them
You have sent me to the dictionary. Interesting findings. Since the statements are based on emotions and prejudice, there can not be a reasonable argument or defense.

http://dictionary.reference.com/wordoftheday/archive/2000/03/24.html
Word of the Day for Friday March 24, 2000

demagogue \DEM-uh-gog\, noun:
1. A leader who tries to stir up people by appeals to emotion, prejudice, etc., in order to achieve power.
2. Anciently, a leader of the common people.

This was to have held a sculpture of a Roman charioteer driving four horses, but the work was never completed, leaving behind what looks like a diving board or a futurist balcony, ideally suited for a demagogue exhorting a throng below.
--Michael Z. Wise, "A Fascist Utopia Adapted for Today," New York Times, July 11, 1999

A consummate demagogue, McCarthy played upon cold war emotions and made charges so fantastic that frightened people believed the worst.
--Arthur Herman, Joseph McCarthy: Reexaming the Life and Legacy of America's Most Hated Senator

Even when he showed his true colors as a demagogue and trickster, Stalin did so in such a crisp and weighty, confidence-inspiring manner that he bewitched not only his conversational partner but himself as well.
--Milovan Djilase, Fall of the New Class: A History of Communism's Self-Destruction

Demagogue derives from Greek demagogos, a leader of the people, from demos, the people + agogos, leading, one who leads, from agein, to lead.

Dictionary.com Entry and Pronunciation for demagogue
______________
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=demagogue
dem·a·gogue also dem·a·gog ( P )Pronunciation Key (dm-gôg, -gg)
n.
A leader who obtains power by means of impassioned appeals to the emotions and prejudices of the populace.
A leader of the common people in ancient times.

Usage Note: Among the nouns that the Usage Panel is loath to see used as a verb is demagogue, meaning “to speak about something in the manner of a demagogue.” Ninety-four percent reject it in the sentence The President will demagogue Medicare, unwilling to acknowledge that fundamental reforms need to be made. Resistance to the use of traditional nouns as verbs is sometimes strong, especially when the novel usages are associated with business or bureaucratic jargon.
