If Rummy resigns
do we get Smiling Paul "Perpetual War" Wolfowitz?

Maybe that's what is needed, to have more of a spotlight on that slimeball...

3. I doubt it
My recommendation would be to put Cohen back in in a "acting" role and the final guy to be determined after the election.

4. ..a time honored excuse not to get rid of incompetence
"We might get somebody worse!"

I've heard that excuse all my life. Life always improved after the asshole was gone.

We have "worse" now. Don't let the opportunity to get rid of a cancer pass you by based on the fear of what could be.

5. whoever it is has to be confirmed by the Senate
and the hearings could be (SHOULD be) a free for all of accusations against the Bush admin and how they waged this war (let alone how/why they started this war.)

I've heard that is the number one reason they don't want Rummy to go.

6. didn't think of that ..but it is REAL GOOD
It would definitely keep the Bushco crimes in the light of day all the way up to November.

Even the fundies would have trouble swallowing all of that
