Lieberman still fornicates with RW
Say it ain't so, Liberman bringing up how no Arabs have apologized for the deaths of the Mercenaries hung from the bridge. No apologies from Iraq about 9-11? Is he a real Senator?

I suppose with this Joe logic, if they eat American contractor testicles, we must do the same or worse. Well Joe is an old testament kinda fella.

Iraq was not responsible for 9-11 and Joe knows it. Joe is coming close to resembling our hero Zell.

2. The Iraqis are supposed to apologize for something they didn't do
Edited on Fri May-07-04 02:30 PM by lebkuchen
Iraqi prisoners are supposed to provide intel they don't have to interrogators, and are tortured/killed for not knowing.

Iraqis are supposed to provide WMD that they don't possess, and if they don't come up with the goods, they are "shocked and awed."

The Iraqis just can't get a break when it comes to the U.S.

Liebermann is insane. I wonder if Gore agrees with his nonsense.

3. I saw that.

He tried to still tie Saddam to Sept. 11th in his speech at the Rumsfeld hearing.

5. This is the last time I will defend Joe Lieberman...

Joe Lieberman is a politician. Above all else, he has a responsibility to act in the best interests of his constituency. If he doesn't, he doesn't get their support (campaign donations) and will not return to the Senate, where I might add, he still has one of the most progressive voting records amongst his peers.

Connecticut's largest industries include:

-- Sikorsky Aircraft
(virtually every helicopter in the military's arsenal is designed and manufactured here)

-- Electric Boat
(Design and manufacture nuclear-powered naval vessels)

-- General Dynamics
(what doesn't General Dyanmics have their hands in, regarding military technology contracts?)

Are you beginning to see the picture? Of course Lieberman is "pro-war." His job, and many of the jobs of the folks who voted for him depend on supporting the military industrial complex. The right-wing agenda is a cash cow for the high rollers that would surely crush "Holy" Joe if he didn't play ball.

Finally, many folks seem to forget that Albert Gore was not the only who had his political dreams stolen away on December 12, 2000. Joe was inches away too...

(on edit: typo)
