Installation art and Natl Endow for the Arts and bare breasts
If an art gallery or foundation sponsored a showing of a human form hooked up to electrical wires with rags over the head and torso or if a sculptor modeled a female holding a leash connected to a bound and naked man and if another artist sculpted a pyramid of naked bodies arranged so that genitals touched genitals or worse....

...how loud would the right wing cry...how many times we would see and hear Burton, Bennett, Robertson, Falwell, Inhofe, Shelby, Hatch and Graham in front of the cameras yelling, screaming, threatening? How many times would they appear on TV to condemn. How many hours would we listen to Hannity and Rush and O'Reilly and Judy?

Now, the right wing PNAC and friends in high places along with the CEOS have brought us a live photography show by their implied approval of the handling of those Iraqis, who in their minds, paid for the flying lessons or gassed the aircraft of the 9-11 murderers. And by allowing outsourced contractors call the shots.

What does John have to say - John, the statue dresser who has a tendency to cover up decades old art?

What would those little old ladies say - the ones who call into Washington Journal and tell the world how divinely they support OUR PRESIDENT.

1. The same can be asked about the left.........
If these images were presented as 'art', the left would jump to their defense against your imagined outrage from the right using the old Freedom of Speech argument.

Doubtful there'd be much in the way of protest or outcry here, in fact they'd probably be celebrated.

2. The point is that right wing voices are demeaning the torture and they
are comparing it to hazing, but would be outraged by art expression of the same images.

What the left would do about defending an art show has nothing to do with the issue of the day. It is irrelevant.

The issue of the day is -

The hypocrisy of the right wing by comparing human abuse in a war situation that has rules of law to a fraterity hazing.
