cspan callers drive me nuts and a few other thoughts
"I support every decision Bush has ever made". Honest to God, some idiot woman just called that in- too many ranters and ravers and just totally stupid people call in, I can't take it anymore. Rumsfeld is a smarmy, self righteous lousy excuse for a human being and he actually had to stop and think about whether or not he would resign if he thought it was best for America. AAAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! How in the hell can he stay in his job after this???? He had the NERVE to spout off about America's moral high ground! I am thoroughly disgusted (again or still). Thanks for listening.

1. For some reason
most C-SPAN callers are ranting loons. I don't know why. And the ones from FL and TX are usually the nuttiest.

My fave caller was the conservative who threatened Ellsburg with death. I think he was the epitome of the C-SPAN caller.

I have learned to turn off the show once the callers start in.

3. yeah, I should too
I get sucked in by a rational caller but stay too long after the nutters start- I should just appreciate their coverage of events and leave before the opining begins.

7. It kept me from recurring migraines
And as soon as I heard, "Brad, from Houston on the line...", or "Frank, from Pensacola, Florida, on the line..."

I knew I was going to hear something really stupid.

And if they are taking calls for the "Support the President" line, then all bets are off.

There probably will be the name "Jesus" mentioned, and the words the "homosexual agenda" will pop up.

2. I must make an intervention here
You, like my brother, are going insane from listening to C-Span. You must not do it! Turn it off before you become violent!

Your friend,

Nancy

4. I know the feeling
Sometimes there are a lot of those kinds of callers when I have watched it in the morning. They all are the same, they love Bush and say he is a great leader and is doing a wonderful job and how can anyone say nasty things about him, etc. They sound brainwashed to me.

6. Ya I heard a funny one the other day...
Started out with the standard, "I support bu$h" crap.

The whacko lady said the torture was ok because we don't know what the Iraqis are doing to our boys.

Then the witch proceeded to rant on about John Kerry. Saying she's been reading things about him.

There must be a repuke call center that makes these calls to cSpan.

8. I think there are two boiler rooms,
Edited on Fri May-07-04 05:51 PM by LibertyChick
one in FL and one in TX, that has some of these nuts chained to metal poles, and they throw them raw meat from time to time to keep their strength up for ranting.

They have dedicated telephone lines into C-SPAN.

9. this morning on Washington journal
there was a lawyer on who's helping create an Iraqi constitution, the guy was a genius.

Anyway, your standard "Bob from Bokee" called and said "sir, can i ask you a question, are you Jewish?"

"yes, i am"

"Thee Yuuunahhted States of Uhmarka created our Constitution without ONE JEW telling us what to put in it"

10. I wonder if these nuts are evangelicals.
Those people are on a mission and they usually are the ones who are the LOUDEST.
