Good radio talk show on internet now for another hour
Here's the link:

http://www.790thezone.com/Multimedia/NewAudio.asp

Click on "Listen Live" - at least on my computer, it uses Windows Media. It's a all-sports station format except for this show, I think.

I listen to this every Sunday morning, 6-9 a.m. Eastern.

It's called "Open Forum" with Ike Newkirk (from Atlanta). This call-in show has been a staple for about 30 years. I've known about Freepers for several years now thanks to him, and he challenges them on the air. He also has lots of thoughtful listeners who call in regularly (their voices are recognizable to regular listeners like myself).

Best kept secret in talk radio today. Anyone with the right audio connections can listen live; I wish they archived his show and made it available with Air America or something.

Listen & learn (& enjoy)!

1. BTW, one caller shared an astute irony this morning
Talking about how so many RW supporters of this administration are anti-gay, and yet we know now about how the photographs of torture in Iraq include forced homosexual poses (if not actual forced acts). If this was included with orders from higher up, this should be leaving RWers absolutely speechless. I hope I'm wording this clearly enough to make sense.

Especially in this light, how can even the hard core RWers defend any of this?

3. Ike is Awesome!
He is a voice of sanity here in Atlanta! He makes my Sundays.

4. Correction: it's called "Open Line"
instead of "Open Forum" (I knew that!). Even if you're local to Atlanta, you'll probably still have to listen online as I do, since the AM signal is so weak.

I'll post a reminder about this show at the end of this week, if it's OK with the moderators. Worth posting again, I think, to give people some warning.

I posted today since I noticed that there was nothing noted for listening to live on radio at 8:00 Eastern this a.m.

Tune in next week!
