A cute little story about "Republican Parenting."

Many of us don't understand the enemy. Well, it's in the gene pool.

The "gentleman" two doors down is a grandfather. His son is so conservative he thinks John Wayne should be raised from the dead and made Pope (so to speak).

I saw Grandad's two grandsons from his daughter PLAYING ON THE ROOF. This is a Cape Cod with almost a 45 degree pitch, mind you. They had climbed out of a window, and were prancing all over the roof.

I saw this, and went over to let Grandad know. He storms out of the house, and seeing his descendants flirting with death or worse, he yells,

"GET THE HELL OFF THAT ROOF! THOSE ARE NEW SHINGLES AND COST A FORTUNE, GOD DAMN IT!"

This is why NOTHING that the conservatives do really surprises me very much.

What are children to these people anyway? INVESTMENTS?
