Encouraging schoolchildren to experiment with oral sex could prove the most effective way of curbing teenage pregnancy rates, a government study has found.

Pupils under 16 who were taught to consider other forms of 'intimacy' such as oral sex were significantly less likely to engage in full intercourse, it was revealed.

Britain's teenage pregnancy rate is the highest in Europe. In 2002 there were 39,286 teen pregnancies recorded. The government has spent more than £60 million to tackle the problem but so far failed to halt the rise.

A sex education course developed by Exeter University trains teachers to talk to teenagers about 'stopping points' before full sex.

Good idea in theory. Might work. Though the thing about teachers teaching this is it could either be a little too titlating or a little too traumatic, depending on the teacher.

Brilliantly done too. Instead of being as interested as normal teenaged boys would be, they take the class as if it's any of the other boring crap you have to do in school. The best part is while he's instructing intercourse and he catches a kid passing a note.

already had this idea...figured it out when there was a rise in STDs that can be passed through oral sex. 1 in 4 kids at my son's old high school have/had at least one STD. i think we should give teens all the information known to mankind...though i preach abstinence at home, i want them fully informed.

i told all my kids abstinence was the best choice...i wouldn't want hubby to read that sentence and chime in *heehee*

and they can still have all the pleasure :evilgrin: I think this should have been taught in my highschool (i graduated last winter) one of my friends had a close call and thankfully had a miscarriage before she was going to tell her conservative parents she wanted an abortion

I thought most of us somehow figured it out on our own.

Have these people ever heard of self control, i.e. ABSTINACE?

Through self control, abstinence, you are guaranteed NOT to get pregnant or get a STD! WHY must we ALWAYS ASSUME that kids WILL have sex? By pushing this stuff in their face all that's happening is ENCOURAGING sex.
