1. Unless one of those pages proves Kerry is a member of the Bush family...
my suggestion to Americans would be to vote for him anyway.

5. Just a caller to Wash Journal, saying that this will prove Kerry's
lack of patriotism (he said something like "then we will see what Kerry is all about).

18. And you posted it and believe it.
Now I will say something like quit posting regurgitated RW roadkill. I am so sick of you soreheads that keep sniping at JFK. JFK beat everyone else(including my choice) in fair primaries. Thats called democracy.
JFK is the candidate of the Democratic party. Take it or leave it. If you can't handle democracy I suggest you go elsewhere.

19. Woa... what are you talking about? The reason I posted this
is because it worries me to see the mind-frame of at least 40% of the population (repugs). That they can produce 20,000 pages of junk I don't dispute. But it worries me the way they are painting Kerry because the media just grab the negatives and omit the positive to say that Kerry does not have an "image" yet. Please stop insulting people that have posted to this board for a long time and have proved they are not doing it to hurt our cause but to help it.

7. Bring It On!!!
It's time Kerry and many of us stand up, LOUDLY, about the parallels between this invasion and Vietnam...and the brave actions it takes to speak the truth about the situation.

In 1971, John Kerry wasn't in the minority in his opposition against Nam...and among those of us under the age of 30, I dare say that, by that time 90% of us were against the war. Maybe we could do a roll call of "experienced" DU'ers as to the number of protests or peace gestures they made (from joining pacifist groups to reading the "underground press") that helped bring out the truth and hasten our withdrawl from that evil war.

Then, let's swing the question back to "What Did You Do In The War, Daddy"...in the Vietnam War and this Invasion and put that question to every one of the Chickenshithawks.

Thanks to this regime's absolute corruption, we've revisted the worst of the Vietnam "lessons" and this incursion is just beginning. Strength and Truth will be our salvation.

Let's bring out ALL that was said at that time and compare them to our current situation. Listen to the lyrics of Edwin Starr's "War" from 1970 and you start catching an eerie feeling of deja vu.

To me, John Kerry was a bigger American hero for his work with the Vietnam Veterans Against The War than for his deserved Silver Star. Here's hoping us older Democrats stand up and applaud his once again for THAT very important service he provided to this country at another dark time.

If anything, Kerry's the right man to handle all the major wounds this war is doing on the American body. We're so polarized and if we go down to defeat in Iraq, the finger-pointing is going to be incredible. Only someone whose been in war and fought for peace can attempt to breach this huge divide.

after volunteering to serve then volunteering to serve where it's dangerous (Swift boats), how about showing ONE page of material showing where Bush was while in Alabama?

11. Kerry hasn't done anything wrong. There is nothing wrong with protesting
a war that WAS wrong, that MOST OF AMERICA also protested.

Let the bush gang waste their ammo early, it'll make it easier in October, when we sit here pointing and laughing at them, while Kerry ROCKS this world!

14. Well who is going to read 20,000 pages?
It takes that much research to pin something bad on Kerry?

I wouldn't take the C-Span callers seriously, I think they had to install a trunk phone line to C-Span from every mental institution in this country.

15. Thanks for the proper perspective. But, on the other hand, I have
noticed that the crap that comes from the nut houses on C-Span then starts appearing in Rush, Savage, Hanity, and then the poison spreads. I think these callers are the "storm troopers" of Repug thought.

16. Repukes talk lots of shit, all the time...
And look how much of it truly sticks: very little, except amongst the 30+-% who would believe that John Kerry sucks the brains out of newborns with a soda straw if Karl Rove told them to believe it.

I would have to say that these attacks by the repukes, taken in light of the real news that is happening, will pretty much go nowhere, thanks to the hourly reports of unspeakable and eldritch horrors.

It's just a matter of proportion.

17. They must be really desperate!
On C-Span a REPUG said they are releasing 20,000 pages of Kerry...
records related to the groups that protested against the war

Yeah, and so? Hundreds of thousands of people protested against the Vietnam War.

Like it is now, the groups that organize marches and other actions are made up of people who hold a wide range of ideologies. Like now, those Vietnam protesters were united in their opposition to that war, although they didn't always agree on other issues. Seems to me that when you get such a wide diversity of people coming together in agreement about opposing any war you have a movement you'd better pay attention to... and eventually that's just what happened.

Of course, some people won't join a group, no matter how much they agree with its goals, because heaven forbid! there might be some (shhh!) communists in that group. IMO, that really gives communists one heck of a lot of control over the direction the country takes.

20. When will they get it? Kerry's anti-war stance was right!
Viet Nam was another wrong war for the US. We lost many, many wonderful children and families were destroyed forever. Today Viet Nam is unified, communist, and has noramal relations with the US. Soooooo...we lost. What has been the result? There were no Vietnamese on those planes on 9/11...there weren't even any 'communists' among the attackers to my knowledge. So, what did we gain by entering that war? Kerry was right! If he is not man enough to stand up for himself now, that's his problem.

not admire him as much as I do. That war was a horrible STAIN on America's red, white, and blue dress.

reports about Iraq weapons (or rather, lack of them), or say, Bush's military records, or, a little report about the prison abuse. Hell, most of the freepers and dittoheads can't read at all, so why worry?

And besides, a majority of the country now know that the GOP smear tactics, are just that, and won't bother. Look how quickly the "fast boat crew story" died, even with a full scale media assault by the freeps. They're going down, and they know it. I smell fear....and desperation.

25. forgive me for yelling but, ANYBODY WHO THINKS VIETNAM WAR WAS A GOOD
IDEA AFTER ALL THESE YEARS IS NOT VOTING DEM ANYWAY!

Let's be realistic here. . .what they have is BS, and no sensible person (dem, independent voter, moderate republican) still thinks the Vietnam War was a Good Thing.

This is just a trap to get Kerry to waste his time.

28. Records created by whom?
FBI records have come out and stated Kerry was moderate in comparison to the other protesters. He was out of the service and not yet a Senator or Congressman so who in the hell created records and for what purpose? I suggest we produce our own Records of Bush* during the seventies. I'm sure they would have every bit as much validity.
