Will children being born today have to fight in Iraq
in 20 years because we will continue to stay the course that a fucking moron set for us? Please contemplate the question and please seek answers in every conservative nook and cranny and klavern in this country. NO. Demand answers.

1. Don't want to attend my nephew's funeral. He's 7 now.
One of my arguing points against this war is that I didn't want to have my nephew get drafted and shot while patrolling some Bagdahd street -- and considering the kid is only 7 right now I tried to illustrate how long I thought it would drag on for without some radical change of plan.

A year ago I was treated as an idiot for saying that. (Some of) those same people look at current events, look at their own kids, and what I said then is starting to sink in.

3. We'll be fighting wars in every Muslim country. .
and in every part of the world. After the debacle of the prisoner abuse and this illegitimate war, I'm afraid we're giving birth to 10,000 Osama Bin Laden's all across the globe. How many more 9/11's will the actions of this government cause to be perpetuated on generations of Americans to come? I don't think I've ever been more pessimistic about the future of our country than I am right now. We're hated by the Muslims, the Europeans can't stand us, the United Nations has washed their hands of us. . . where do we go from here? And how in the world can any President who will follow Bush & Co. hope to repair the damage that's been done?

2. No, they will just have to serve a tour of duty...
...just like they do right now in Japan, Germany, South Korea, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Oman, UAE, Diego Garcia -- and the other 1,000+ military bases.

4. NOT MY SON!
No way in hell will I let them take him. They'll have to pry him out of my cold, dead arms first. My daughter is a member of Civil Air Patrol and they really are giving them the hard sell about how great life is in the military, and it scares me to death. To die for Bushco's gain...I think not.

5. No
It will be some other country by then (probably in South America) if the USA hasn't completely imploded first.

6. I'll put this to my RW friend
He's not happy with Bush* but is brain-scrubbed (beyond brain-washed) and will probably vote republican anyway. He has 9-yr-old twins. Should the topic come up, I'll ask him will he have them enlist or wait for them to be drafted.
