1. it's a pointless task
it only makes whoever introduced the articles look like a jackass. Repugs control everything so there's exactly no chance of it going anywhere.

2. We have had a call for
the SoD impeachment... which is a start given that the power is in the hands of the Repukes...

5. John Conyers has been suggesting it
According to a Detroit columnist (Jack Lessenbury, Metro Times), Conyers was answering his phone "House Impeachment Commitee" a few months ago, before this latest scandal.
Conyers is great-I used to live in his district. He's not the world's most inspiring speaker, but he fights the good fight for important and unpopular causes, such as the treatment of inmates in Michigan's prisons. Female inmates, in particular, who were being denied access to medical care and who were getting sexually abused by male COs.

6. Sen. Phil Graham of Florida said the I-word many times
before he left the run for the primaries.

I am from Kansas, but I'm very proud of this Democrat.

7. I think you mean Bob Graham
If you admire him so much, you might want to get his name right. </gentle good-natured ribbing> :)

Phil Gramm is the odious former Senator from Texas whose wife was a mucky-muck at Enron.

Late night last night = foggy brain today.

Yeah, and do watch the knife/criticism ("gentle" or otherwise), some of us are over extended from things like trying to register Democrats in Missouri all day Saturday (hence the late night last night playing catch-up).

9. I didn't see it, but I was told that Senator Bayh said Rummy only follow-
ing Bush's instruction so Bush should resign. I haven't seen it referred to by anyone else and so my friend might have misunderstood the quote.
