origin of death squads

Is anyone aware of the fact that the term death squads was coined by our benevolent govt under nixon and nazi kissinger in south and central america?

Air America to smuggle drugs into this country to fund more death squads. Come to think of it, I don't think they ever stopped, wonderful bunch they are...assholes.

ON EDIT: Did you know that from some tabulations of direct and indirect actions by the CIA from the '50's to the '80's that the total death toll of these types of groups is at least 6 million, perhaps much more? I guess we have our own holocaust to deal with as well.

Middle East and Southeast Asia. This is only since the 1950's, before that we conquered the Philipines with the human cost in the 100 of thousands around the turn of the century. Not to mention that wag the dog thing in the Spanish-American war, if anything the United States as a talent for kicking nations while they are already down.

2. Did that come out in the Nixon tapes?

...Remember the infamous 18 minutes that were erased by Nixon's secretary Rosemary Wood, where she claimed to have accidentally stepped on the erase button while transcribing the tapes. I wonder if something similar may happen to the 1,000's of digital photos and videos for the prisoners? Oops, sorry I must have hit 'DELETE' by mistake.:shrug:
