Just read the transcript of Kerry's testimony
Edited on Mon May-10-04 10:06 PM by justgamma
before Congress about the Vietnam War. The parallels are so obvious it's chilling.
I wish I was more articulate, but right now I'm speechless.

2. Truly chilling
How could a man who was so against war back then, saw what he saw, admitted to committing atrocities like burning villages, have voted for this war?

How did Dean lose to this guy? He should have pounded this stuff home during the primaries. Sorry, still frustrated (and have been since 2000).

4. The question is how could he have thought Bush wouldn't screw it up?
Maybe it's all those lies they told.

5. That was BOB KERREY. NOT John Kerry.
Bob Kerrey = ex-Senator from Nebraska. You really ought to at least TRY to have a vague idea of what the hell you're talking about...it would save you the embarassment of looking stupid.

8. i was talking about john kerry
senator from mass, the vote on iraq. and it was not a simple vote of going to war. but i dont have the exact wording on how the vote was put out for the senate to vote. i also would like what kerry, not KERREY, said on the floor when he made the vote.

6. I was thinking the same thing
The people who condemn Kerry for coming back from Vietnam and speaking out on the atrocities that went on during that war should realize that there's a parallel in the situation that we're experiencing right now. After seeing the photos and reading the reports would they condemn a soldier who returned to the US today and testified to what was going on in those detention centers? Unfortunately, I'm not hopeful that they would be able to make that logical connection.
