1. Thank you! Interesting results.
The pictures haven't changed opinions about the war among 69% of those polled, probably because most Americans recognized that the war was a disaster even before we knew about the pictures. The really bad news for this administration is that 31% of those polled (almost one-third) HAVE changed their minds. I would say that almost all of those feel more negatively about the war since they've seen the photos.

And only 10% don't think the lower level soldiers are being scapegoated, which means that 90% of Americans reject the president's contention that this was an isolated incident involving a handful of rogue troops.

Finally, only 7% of those polled think we should "stay the course."

The way I read this, about 10% of those polled think that Chimpy is doing a good job with the war in Iraq. Way to go, W.

Nothing like pictures to really get the public's attention.

2. Why does CNN even waste time to ask a silly question like...

> Have the prisoner abuse allegations changed your view of the Iraq war?

They seem to do this a lot. What on earth could any possible results mean?

3. The one I found most offensive...
was "Would the Iraqi prisoner story be as big in a non-election year?"

Hey, CNN...this is NOT a political issue...it's a HUMAN RIGHTS issue...

And every year is an election year!!!

4. Exactly. I hate questions like this.
How is anyone supposed to get any info from this? Are the ones switching people who did support it but now don't or ones who didn't support it but now do?

5. The first two are pretty amazing...
... the public still doesn't want to believe that we do things like this intentionally. Despite the fact that Rumsfeld has been running a Gulag down at Guantanamo for 3 years.
