The sinking convoy story (a bit tinfoilish)

Early this morning there was a story about a KBR convoy ambushed in the western Iraqi desert--six vehicles are burnt; Americans are unaccounted for:

The story sank like a lead weight.

Now, there is a story about an American civilian beheaded by "terrorists" and there is not a mention or a worry about the American civilians that went missing in the western desert this morning.

It strikes me very odd that, on one hand we're getting massive coverage about the beheaded American, but, on the other hand, we're obviously not supposed to think about other missing Americans or about the safety of civilian contractors.

I find it very hard to believe much what is said on CNN, or many other tv / cable news sources.
