a little crappy protest song I wrote
Edited on Wed May-12-04 02:50 PM by bhunt70
I get bored at work and this is a result of that and my general pissed off feelings towards a lot of things.

As We All Lose Our Heads.

One million proud citizens down on the mall
protesting war loudly, on deaf ears protests fall.
Chickenhawks count all their money instead
with disregard for all the blood they have shed.
More interested in green than blood that runs red.
They say, "Those people down there are just losing their heads"

The blood on their hands is rarely their own.
They risk life and limb from the comfort of home.
Our brothers and sisters, to their deaths do they go,
but all that matters is who gets the most votes.
Mission Accomplished is what they all said
but just "Keep your mouth shut, you're just losing your head"

Home of the brave and the land of the free
the left and the right and all in between.
No dignity or honor, we're a land in distress
when the state of the nation is given by big business.
Twice as much work trying to keep yourself fed
"It's all getting better you're losing your head"

The secrets they keep and the lands they invade
All the weapons they sell stamped "American Made".
Sending children far away for an unjust war.
It not always clear who hates our freedom more.
So the bastards will sleep, tucked safe in their beds
while the world crashes down and we lose all our heads.

edit...typo...wrong forum too I thought I was in lounge. sorry.

1. Send it to Anti-Flag
They just might buy the words and make it a hit like "Turncoat, Killer, Liar, Thief."

Or maybe Neil Young. He might sing it.

3. Those are good lyrics...
But with all due respect, I don't think Neil Young needs anyone's help. :) That guys rocks so hard.

6. Yes, he does
The dude can write a song. But he would love yours, I do believe. Such a great old hippie.

Keep rockin' in the "free" world.
