The Pentagon just Scared Congress Half to Death

If I were a Congressperson, I'd be scared. Since Bush took office, Democrats have been killed in plane crashes, attacked with biological weapons (anthrax), journalists and reporters have had threatening phone calls to their bosses at work, and peace activists have had their names and addresses posted to FreeRepublic.com along with threats of turning people over to the authorities.

The pictures are beyond disgusting and Congress had made it VERY CLEAR that we are implicated in "murder" and "rape" and "wanton, sadictic torture" that involved "men", "women" and "children". I've now read blogs that talk of "children's prisons" in Iraq - not to mention the pictures of US uniformed soldiers giving the "thumbs up" sign standing next to unidentified children, along with carboard signs talking saying someone "killed my father and knocked up my sister".

This is very, very serious. We have years of grumblings from local law enforcement, police departments, and state goverments of organized crime figures, drug dealers, and criminal pimps protected under the guise of "national security".

I'm not worried - most Americans - and most certainly our Armed Forces and most Democratic public officials - understand that our duty is to protect the Constitution from enemies both "foreign and domestic".

Interesting times...

You get private corporations to employ "contractors" from countries such as Chile, Russia, China and the Balkans.

was always extremely WARY about letting it back in Rome, in fact, I think there were rules against it. Of course once those rules were broken, you had Empire and an Emperor.

What percentage of "private contractors" are organized crime? 50%? What percentage of "private contractors" are fronts for foreign intelligence? What percentage of "private contractors" are bizarre cult groups with their own disturbing agendas?

I have no answers, obviously.
