Poll question: What is the single most disgusting action of the Bush admin?
Edited on Fri May-14-04 09:19 AM by Redbear
I think it is the human rights abuses. To me, the other issues are just disgusting politics or Bush pumping up his base.

But human rights was something that ALL Americans used to believe in. To use 9/11 as an excuse to tear away part of our national soul is unforgivable.

bush* sat behind the desk in the Oval Office and reffered to himself as president*.

3. Waking up, breathing, doing it each and every day
if they had any self respect they would retreat back under the rock from which they crawled out to shame the country.

13. Patriot Act!
The trashing of the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. The Patriot Act is by far the most disgusting because it lays the ground work for usurping total control of the government. Good as some of my Congressman and Senators are, I told each and every one of them that I WILL remember how they voted on this act and I WILL NOT vote for anyone that voted for it! This act offends me!

14. Patriot Act is reprehensible
But, I didn't consider it an act of the Bush admin. There are a lot of people in Congress who are much more responsible for that filth than Bush.

9. Education! Education! Education!
An uninformed populace is a complacent populace. How can we be good patriotic citizens if we can barely read?

Imagine a United States where the majority of the population had a good education? Do you honestly think * would have won the primary? If anything, with an educated population, at worst, we'd have McCain as president right now. An educated body would have seen right through the smear tacts of Rove, in fact, I'd bet that Rove wouldn't have a job if Americans weren't such dummies.

Among other things. Its also known that the more educated a person is, the more productive to the society as a whole they are.

Everything is better with education.

11. When bush said , in front of God and everyone.......
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

His decision to ignore this oath is the rot at the root of all the other evils.

16. Doing nothing to protect America
when warnings about an impending terrorist attack were coming in from everywhere and their own terrorism experts were screaming at them to pay heed.

17. I agree: LIHOP
Doing nothing to protect the American people, despite all the warnings.

Then, using 9/11 as an excuse for everything from The Patriot Act to invading Afghanistan (slight connection) and invading Iraq (no connection).
