Intuitive Bush Vs Pragmatic Kerry. A No Brainer;
Brains will win over "Gut Feelings" most of the time. Wisdom has the odds.

What has Bush done for America in 3 years plus? Its mostly bad.

Kerry's Battle Plans? He wants a better more wiser, healthier, richer America. He is coming to the Grass Roots for money, support, and ideas.

How to create Jobs that do not leave America: As much as we don't want to get our hands Dirty: Its lies in the direction of CONSTRUCTION and the BUILDING INDUSTRY. Its the Hard Hats and gloves time.

But on the other hand. They gatta follow Blueprints and Plans: The Architects, designers, Interior decorators, exterior landscapers, engineering firms, etc/

then the supply people and their realm, the material houses and outlets, the Paints guys, wall paper guys, glass shops, etc etc

These jobs cannot be exported, its all good.

And why would we build? Cause Kerry will call for it if we put enough pressure and make noise: to wit:

We study ways to save by efficiency, ways to live better cheaper with new systems designed that way. Cities and communities designed to lower energy consumption saving the precious energy for recreation and the future Winters of Cold coming.

see KERRY'S Plans for a Happier, Wealthier, Wiser America, post 75 in yesterdays GD thread.

We grass roots guys gatta lend support and a an idea or two.

Come, we should to shoulder now, no time for letting up on the no brain Bush.... of all the things we DON"T want to Hear:::

He's BACCCCK!!!

1. A Sustainable America is a strong America
Solar, Wind, Geothermal research. Gov't incentives to lead the world in this technology & its application by 2025. Hell, sooner.

Prepare for the post-oil world. Even if peak oil is overly pessimistic, don't we WANT to tell the saudis to fuck themselves?

2. Yup, we need to waste less torque, focus on efficiency and less
waste. Recycling is a must, and disposal too. Too many things to do that were neglected under Bush who has other priorities like offensive wars.

Bridges, maintenance and replacements, highways and railways too, these jobs cannot be exported.

3. speaking of grass roots
we need to legalize the farming of industrial hemp (that is the stuff with basically no THC).

The benefits are many, not the least of which is it is much more environmentally friendly than growing corn or soybeans for ethanol;

Industrial hemp can be grown in most climates and on marginal soils. It requires little or no herbicide and no pesticide, and uses less water than cotton. Measurements at Ridgetown College indicate the crop needs 300-400 mm (10-13 in.) of rainfall equivalent. Yields will vary according to local conditions and will range from 1.5 to 6 bone dry tons of biomass per acre. California's rich croplands and growing environment are expected to increase yields by 20% over Canadian results, which will average at least 3.9 bone dry tons per acre.

4. Its one more idea bandied about that makes good sense.
Kerry should jump on this one too.

Will the cotton industry go nuts? Or will they change their crops to Grass?

Its all good and why not, makes perfect sense.
