secret SAP operation?

The wheels have fallen off this Iraq adventure. The sooner the US military gets out the better.

on edit: With what authority will ANY administration insist US military POW's be held in accordance with the Geneva Conventions?

It seems the "recycled hillbillies from Cumberland, MD." will be thrown to the wolves as sacrificial lambs for the Abu Ghraib Torture Policy in the hopes of protecting the "black-ops" inside the Pentagon that continues to operate without Congressional oversight

3. The Bush administration considers potential US POWs a liability...
...and will in the future treat them as already KIA, thus they needn't be concerned with other players adherence to the Geneva Conventions...

5. That's sure what Stalin thought
Which is why the Red Army fought down to the last man and the last bullet, because becoming a POW to the Nazis was a sure ticket to the afterlife. If a man miraculously made it back to the Soviet Union, then the Soviet authorities would imprison him for not escaping. Or not escaping sooner. Or not avoiding capture in the first place, and bringing disgrace on Mother Russia.

Any of our military who get captured had better start praying his captors are more humane than his comrades.
