Christians Should Reject Bush
Jesus said "Whatever you do to the least of mine, you do unto Me." Matthew 25:40 George Bush, who claims to be a Christian, has never shown any genuine Christian compassion. On the contrary, his streak of cruelty was clearly evident when he mocked Karla Faye Tucker as she pleaded for her life.

There's a conspicuous absence of Christian values in American policies initiated in the Bush adminstration. America moved Afghan prisoners to Cuba to evade treaties requiring humane treatment of captives. The Solicitor General recently argued to the Supreme Court that such people have no legal rights whatsoever.

This November, Christians should reflect on the coarsening of American values, as seen in the way we treat prisoners. If you're disgusted by official cruelty, you can't look the other way.

Matthew 25:
25:34 Then the king will say to those at his right hand, "Come, you that are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;
25:35 for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me,
25:36 I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me.'
25:37 Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink?
25:38 And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing?
25:39 And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?'
25:40 And the king will answer them, "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.'
25:41 Then he will say to those at his left hand, "You that are accursed, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels;
25:42 for I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,
25:43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not give me clothing, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.'
25:44 Then they also will answer, "Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?'
25:45 Then he will answer them, "Truly I tell you, just as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.'
25:46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

1. this is the gut of what we experience the last four years
there has become such a movement with christians, and now the catholic are siding with baptists. it is looking more and more how hitler ism was created. catholic church participated back then. i believe this can be laid out in a way visually to see step by step how what we do today is of the past.

i believe this part, religion is the biggest part of 4 years to address which is an oddity in that this country is built on seperation of church and state, yet i see church as the major part of this election, this time in history

and bush not being representitive of christianity is so clear to see in a lifetime of his that is documented for a church to preach he is example i am to follow is the greatest of lies to their followers. and a much larger sin with their responsibility in leadership and guidance to the unaware

2. Jesus to Peter in the garden :
Those who live by the sword, die by the sword.

Also, in the Beatitudes :

Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy.

The life of Christ is a very clear example given by a perfect teacher who died rather than make war on Rome for the Jews who wanted armed rebellion.

He was also betrayed because he lived independently of the religious leaders of his time.

He knew the consequences of what he was doing and he did it anyway, because he understood that we have to live our lives honestly and take the full consequences for what we do whether they are "rewards" or not. With all of the fish signs I see in advertising, I am coming to think it's all quid pro quo between Christians and their god today.

4. WWJB
Who Would Jesus Bomb...The funniest thing about these Christians is that they forget that Jesus preached peace. Even roman soldiers who followed his teachings got out of the military for their beliefs. It really seems that this whole Christian fundamentalism thing is just as bad as the Muslim radicals, only difference is that they kill "legally" and make decisions to murder in nice suits and bad come overs. Funny how all republicans are Christians but not all Christians are republicans. If this was the right thing to do then every Christian should be behind them right.

3. Any Christian would. However the people claiming to be Christian
in this country are not, however they are psychos and need to be deprogrammed or locked up in Utah and left to fend for themselves.

5. Bush said that Christians and Muslims worship the same god.
That alone is more than enough to reject Bush.

6. This is one thing I agree with George about.
Something we disagree about : Anyone who thinks they have perfect whatever with God, needs to review the definition of blasphemy.
