Kerry Massive 327-211 Lead in Right Wing Electoral College Projection
Rightwinger Scott Elliott writes, "If you are a liberal, this week's Election Projection will be a mighty fine sight. A mighty fine sight, indeed. Bad news in Iraq and higher gas prices at home are completely overshadowing the ecomony's stunning performance over the last couple months. As a result, Senator Kerry is now trouncing the resident by over seven percentage points, 52.69% - 45.48%. That substantial margin translates to a 327-211 lead in electoral votes. Since my last update, Missouri and Nevada have flown the coop, bringing to five the number of states won by Bush in 2000 that are projected to go into Kerry's column this year (including NH, OH, and FL!). Moreover, the situation would be even worse without the influence of state polling data. Bush retains Arizona and West Virginia thanks to those polls. Looking at the current projection, my predictions may seem completely absurd."

1. This may shift a lot, back and forth, until November.

3. Refers to Bush as the "resident"???
Or did you clip off the 'p' for him? Strange slip in there!

But good news anyway, People keep talking about the national polls but the only numbers that really matter are those electorals. This tends to confirm that elections with an incumbent (p)resident tend to go big, either for the incumbent or the challenger, and are NOT narrow squeakers, as so many pundits keep anticipating.

We need this election to be a repudiation of everything Bush stands for, in order to have any hope of redeeming our national good name abroad and effecting real change at home. A squeaker won't do it--an election that puts Kerry in by a whisker and leaves the vindictive, self-rightous Reichpublicans in charge of congress is a recipe for a very ugly term of office indeed. Gonna make Clinton's tenure look like a cakewalk.

I thought that was weird too. I went and read the article. The guy is definitely pro-Bush.

4. It's going to be the biggest landslide in US history
I can feel it. The debates are going to move Bush into the teens.

5. "stunning economy"?
Yeah. Trading high wage jobs with good benefits for low wage jobs with no benefits sure makes for a "stunning economy".

I guess it's good for us that Bush and the Republicans can't get their head out of their statistical asses and find out what is really going on out there...
