Where's the black helicopter crowd when you need 'em?

Remember the amateur militias who were convinced that the government was out to take away their personal liberties? If I remember correctly, Michigan and Montana were real hotbeds for these guys. Geez, seems they were in the news every other week while Clinton was Prez. But now we have the Patriot Act and John Ashcroft and REAL threats to our liberties and there's nary a peep. I mean, yeah, they were whackjobs, but when you think about it, a lot of their tinfoil hat theories ain't lookin' quite so tinfoil-y anymore.

Did 911 do 'em in, do ya think?

Did they transfer their paranoia towards them foreign terra-ists?

Has eileen had one beer over the line that she is even musing 'bout this?

but have gone towards a "militia of one" approach, due to the government crackdown and inprisonment of the visible leaders from the 90's, and government infiltration operations.

I'm not a black helicopter person, but firmly believe in the "militia of one" outlook.

In the times we're living in, it behooves EVERYBODY to have a good gun or five, plenty of ammo (at least a thousand rounds per gun), and survival supplies (like a good supply of non-perishable food and a manual can-opener, bottled potable water, candles, generators, emergency radio, et cetera). Just ask people who were in the path of Isabel....

But I always end up shooting it all... :shrug:
