I was reading a bunch of posts in a newsgroup and I found a message that contained an email sent by Nick Berg to a colleague of his

Did I miss the fact that he was working at Abu Ghraib only in January? The media seems to have missed this in the articles I read.

Not much has been made of it because Abu Ghraib is an area, as well as the name of the prison.

5. So he was working IN Abu Gharib(town) not AT Abu Gharib(prison).

Abu Ghraib is also the location of one Saddam's largest palace compounds, with a large underground military and intelligence center.

6. The spelling was different
I had initially noticed that the spelling of the prison was different than how it's spelled in the media. Does anyone know if there is ANOTHER prison in Iraq called "Abu Gharib" instead of "Abu Ghraib" or is it that he was in the same place but it was misspelling on Nick Berg's part when he sent the email?

8. By the time these names are ttranslated to English...who knows...
Is there really any proper way to put Arabic into English?...these namees were meant to spoken/written in another language and alphabet...

It's like

Usama Bin Laden
Osama Bin Laden
Osama Bin Ladin

All have appeared in the media...

9. There is no standard way of spelling
Arabic in English, which is why you see all sorts of variants to Al Qaeda, Qaddafi, etc. That's probably it. Or there may well be an "Abu Gharib", but I've never seen anyone note that it was a different place than Ghraib.

Yep that's right-
On Bernie Ward- a little while ago -http://www.kgo.com

a frame by frame analysis by a scientfic crew determined it to be fake.
Theres a frame in it where a guy with a us military cap sticks his head out real quick--only can be noticed in slow motion frame by frame-
Anyone out there who is listening to Bernie Ward catch the web address of the guy who broke this news?
