Anybody see the RNC on WWE RAW last night?
I had it on WWE RAW but was in the bathroom when they were doing this special voter registration thing. They said something like "This week WWE wrestlers are with the Republican National Convention getting young people to vote."

I hope they fucking give a Democratic group a chance, no idea why they would have the RNC on there when it's those religious freaks that bitch about the women on TV that have next to nothing on and especially when all those wrestlers are roided up and Bush has steroids on his hit list.

1. It's worse
During one match, you could clearly see someone holding a sign with a swastika. No matter how much the WWE prostrates itself for the GOP, I can not believe they let someone in with that sign.

3. Ya I saw that too...
And it was when Shelton Benjamin of all people was in the ring with Orton. In San Diego of all places too, wonder if that kid got his ass kicked by anybody last night. I bet ya if it Eddie Guerrero was there he would draw the crowd from Tijiuana out!! :)

I checked the McMahon's donation list and they give to both Dems and Repubs... Well, maybe someday they'll learn if they ever get their asses censored.

2. I can back that up
I was big into the WWF (not E) a few years back. Anyway, they had this "Smackdown your Vote" campaign aimed at getting wrestling fans to register to vote. Their coverage had a blatant Repub bias. I think it stems from the fact that Dino Lieberman was heavily involved in the Parents Television Council, a group that was determined to get WWF off the air.

5. I couldn't find Vince at all on the FEC list...
all donations were made under Linda McMahon. I have heard Vince is bi and has fooled around with some wrestlers.

6. The WWF/WWE is a Great Predictor . . .
of the prejudices and overall mood of most Americans. Who needs a poll, just take a look at who the WWE caters to:

1. Iran hostage crisis - Remember the Iron Sheik (villain) versus Sgt. Slaughter (hero)?
2. First Gulf War - Sgt. Slaughter goes renegade (villain).
3. Losing jobs to Japan - Yokozuna (villain).
4. Resentment of Yuppies - Hill Billy Jim (Hero) and the Christopher Nowinski "Harvard Grad" (villian).
5. Resentment of intellectuals - Leaping Lanny Popov "The Genius" (villain)
6. Pre-Glasnost - Nicolai Volkov of the Bolsheviks (villain)
7. Post-Glasnost - Nicolie Volkov (hero)
8. Anti-Tax Wingnuts - Irwin R. Scheister "IRS."
9. Generation X - Deeneration X tag team (heros?)

While some folks might condemn the WWE for catering to prejudices, I think the WWE provides great theater to the masses, which caters to the masses.

8. They Are Working With The DNC Also
A couple of weeks ago, they prominently featured footage of WWE Women's Champ Victoria with Hillary Clinton.
