2. I am by default.
I will not need gas unless something unplanned happens. I wish we could protest the expensive ones. We need bodies to do that.

5. Protesting or Not getting gas?
I don't think either may make a real difference, but you have to be in these people's faces. The worst ones should get slapped. They will not like it if 10 protesters point to the cheaper station down the street.

4. I don't need gas tomorrow, but....
According to Snopes, it's a wash anyway. http://www.snopes.com/politics/business/nogas.asp

6. rats - they are right
I just bought my gas. Hm. Oh well, should have thought that through. Still what if it causes some of the bigwigs pause - maybe the threat of a boycott as evidenced by fewer gas sales tomorrow could show the might of the motivated consumer.

7. General Strike!
I'm all for it. It probably won't have much impact since most people won't know about, but it might help to try.

8. not me... those things don't do any good, unless
People stop buying gas for an extended period of time. Not buying gas on one particular day will do nothing, they will just sell more the next day. If you want to stick-it to the oil companies use public transportation or get a very fuel efficient car.

9. We are.
I hope it makes some difference, but it makes me feel like we're at least doing SOMETHING. Luckily, my husband drives a very efficient car that gets good mileage, and we use public transport when we can.
