I hate O'FRANKEN...as a name
Edited on Wed May-19-04 11:41 AM by FatSlob
I hate O'Franken Factor as a name. It was funny for a time, but now just seems to be stale. I think the name should be changed to something like "The Al Franken Show" or something else witty. To me, the current name draws too much attention to Bill O'Reilly's show. BTW, any rumors of AirAm coming to Ohio?

1. If you hate it, just imagine what
O'Reilly thinks of it.

Though I'm with you I thought it was a bit much at first. I've been listening less and less, I was never a talk radio kind of guy to begin with.

2. Hmm, I'm listening more and more. It's getting better and better.
Al Franken is really getting comfortable with the pace of a radio show.

I love having it on while I'm working on my computer (I can only get it via streaming radio on the Internet).

4. Franken is getting BETTER AND BETTER! He's a natural...It pissed
me off that Randi keeps talking about the 'STARS' and taking pot shots at Franken. Though he hasn't been in Radio as long as she has he took to it well. He's funny, he has a great style, he's smart, liberal, great with guests and callers.

While he's gotten better I've fallen out of love with Randi some. I still listen because I want to support AAR as much as I can but I'd like for Randi to play nice with the other hosts so the station can grow stronger.

3. Agree on the name. The show is very good though.
I'd like him to expand his media attacks from just Faux, Limpballs - but I guess that's why Randi is for - she is just perfection.

5. I've listened a few times
He seems pretty good. How is he doing, ratings wise? I'm sure they are low now, as he is still new, but is there a trend upwards?

7. Don't know about the ratings yet, but
Edited on Wed May-19-04 12:17 PM by Cyrano
Randi will come out the highest. She has the evening drive-time slot on eastern and central time. She had the same slot when she was broadcasting in Palm Beach, FL and constantly came up with better numbers than Limbaugh.

(on edit) Also thing O'Franken Factor is stale. Should just call it the Al Franken Show.

8. It's just Franken daring O'Reilly to sue him.
He's being a smartass, and I think it's hilarious.

9. The irony of the name is really great...
and now, when people say, "I heard on O'Lielly...", I'm am able to counter "I heard on O'Franken..."

10. TOTALLY!
How lame to base your show's name on ridiculing another show - even if that show is a total piece of crap.

I have other issues with Franken, and AAR I have to do a thread on...

from the AAR show for his PBS show.
