Well, she's not bad looking, but as a person and CNN anchor, she disgusts me. She clearly harbors negative thoughts towards anything Democratic.

Their own polls support this 67% number

If they're gonna "stay the course," make it uncomfortable. They need to hear, again and again, that this kind of spin is noticed and very much NOT appreciated.

26. Quote: In early April 1986, Bush ran into Al Hunt...
...then the Wall Street Journal's Washington bureau chief, at a Mexican restaurant in Dallas, where Hunt was dining with his wife, Judy Woodruff, and their 4-year-old son. The April edition of Washingtonian magazine had come out featuring 16 pundits predicting who would lead the 1988 GOP ticket. Hunt had predicted Jack Kemp over Vice President Bush. (Only half the group said Bush would be the nominee.)

Hunt said Bush approached the table and began cursing at him in front of his child. Hunt said there was no doubt that Bush had been drinking heavily.

"You son of a bitch," Hunt quotes Bush as saying. "I saw what you wrote. We're not going to forget this."

43. Funny you should ask...
...because, depending on which version of the story you read, the incident occurred in either '86 or '87. The chimp allegedly stopped drinking in July of '86. So, if this drunken outburst happened in '87, it proves that his story of giving up booze is a lie.

The corroborating evidence here would be Al Hunt's article that pissed Junior off. It had something to do with predicting that Jack Kemp, and not Poppy, would win the repuke nomination. The article I quoted places the offending piece in the April 1986 Washingtonian but I believe I read elsewhere that it was in the WSJ.

It seems odd that predictions about the repuke nomination would have been made as early as '86. The primaries were a year and a half away, at that point. Had Kemp even said that he was running by April of '86? I can't remember. But, in any case, the '87 date for the incident seems far more likely to me.

9. The only thing CNN understands is money and ratings
if you want her off the air, then you need to get a whole lot of folks on board to not watch CNN and to organize a massive boycott of advertisers who buy time on her program.

People sending in "we hate Judy, get rid of her" emails only shows that she's being watched and she's got numbers. They're not going to remove her because bad attention is still attention.

Dems aren't organized enough, like freepers are, in using company boycotts as effective tools of getting their views across.

Since the mergers, CNN has one role only. Propaganda.

I was looking for it. Any idea when/what circumstances? He's QUITE correct. A SNAIL MAIL LETTER, or even a fax (although sometimes it's hard to get through and that can be discouraging - or you figure you'll try again later and then you forget or something else comes up and it never is re-attempted) is the VERY best because it's something tangible that somebody can hold in their hand, wave around in front of people, show to somebody, copy and send around, or post on some bulliten board where more eyes will see it.

30. This was the shameful part of Whoreruffs show today....from trancript
BRUCE MORTON, CNN NATIONAL CORRESPONDENT (voice-over): It's a close election. It's an odd election. Odd because, for one thing, people who are like John Kerry don't particularly like John Kerry. He's a white man, and George Bush leads among white men in our CNN-USA Today-Gallup poll.

OK, that's a gender gap you see in lots of races. Kerry is rich, and rich people are lopsidedly for Bush. Say, Bush is rich, too, and rich people got most of those tax cuts he passed.

Now one that's really odd. Kerry is Catholic. The first Catholic nominee since John Kennedy, and Bush leads among Catholics in our poll, 52 to 44 percent. These among white Catholics. Hispanics tend to vote Democratic, even more, 66 to 42.

KEATING HOLLAND, CNN POLLING DIRECTOR: One possible reason may be that a lot of Catholics don't know he's a Catholic. The fact that the bishops are going after him in terms of his stance on abortion may actually in the long run help him by telling a lot of Catholics that he is one of their own faith.

MORTON: Another oddity, veterans. He fought in Vietnam, campaigns with veterans.

SEN. JOHN KERRY (D-MA), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: I depend on the same band of brothers that I depended on some 30 years ago. We're a little older and a little grayer. But I'll tell you this, we still know how to fight for our country.

MORTON: In our poll, Bush leads among male veterans, 52 to 43 percent. Are these men in (UNINTELLIGIBLE) typical?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He's raising the gas prices. Don't like him for that alone. John Kerry.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: He's a graduate of Yale. He didn't have to do what he did. But it seems like to me like he had done the whole thing with an eye towards the future of politics.

MORTON: Kerry, wouldn't you know, leads among non-vets. One final oddity, Kerry, who is 60, should win 60-year-olds, shouldn't he?

HOLLAND: In fact, Kerry, as a 60-year-old, is losing among 60- year-olds. It's a very puzzling thing, something else that's probably troubling to the Kerry camp.

MORTON: Behind with vets, up with non-vets. Behind with 60- year-olds, up with 18 to 35-year-olds. Maybe they like his hair. Go figure.

Bruce Morton, CNN, Washington.

Edited on Thu May-20-04 12:18 AM by Oddman
Faux News?

Today's report with Judy Woodruff and Bruce Morton was an embarassment to CNN.
After watching the White House guide your reporting decisions with the David Letterman show I vowed not to watch your news channel again. I made the mistake of tuning in to see the spectacle of Woodruff and Morton talking about Kerry's hair and being related to someone in France. My goodness, you folks are becoming a parody of news. Ms. Woodruff would be better suited to host a "news" show on Fox News.
