6. No kids planned, but that gives me an idea. I'll name my car Howard.
It's a great car, super dependable, economical, classy but not flashy.

9. but you would miss out on the joy
as the little tyke first peddles without training wheels of yelling "build the jomentum... build up your joementum"... then again... one might actually want one's child to have enough speed to not tip over on the bike.

10. Too late.
They've got names already. I don't think my son would enjoy switching to "Howard," neither would my daughter. Maybe she'd like to be Deana or Deanee?

in particular in my post you find hateful enough to warrant such a thing?

28. Probably not a good move
What if you had named your kid after former Oregon Governor and Democratic hero Neil Goldshmidt? He recently admitted to a multi-year affair with a 14 year old girl while he was in office as the Portland mayor before he became Governor.

There is no such thing as safety in hero worship. Many we admire politically turn out to be total creeps/crooks in the end.

Sorry to be a downer, but it's just the way of the world.

But then again, Howard is a nice name. Let's hope that Mr. Dean doesn't sully it - probably won't.

Whenever I think of the name "Howard", I think "the Duck". That kind of dates me, doesn't it?

31. I named my computer Howarth
bought used off ebay - the sticker on the side says Howarth 215 #21

Using google I was able to figure out that he came from Howarth Hall at the University of Puget Sound - right next to the office of fellowships.
