So why does Kerry support the continued ban on Canadian beef?
One year ago today, the US closed the border to Canadian beef because a single cow was found with the disease.

Since then, no other cases have been found and the practice of feeding animal by-products to cattle has been stopped.

Even Dubya wants the border open.

:wtf:

He told Canadians he wants it open while he tells American beef producers he doesn't, I have no doubt of that!

3. Proof would be nice
I suspect Bush would like to open it, but doesn't have the power to do so. Martin was talking to the wrong guy?

That's a question I've been meaning to ask - who would have the power to open the border? Rumsfeld?

5. it's not controversial here because most americans don't know diddly

obout madcow and believe what the bushgang tells them - that our meat is free of madcow

I wish it was controversial so we could force them to check every food animal for madcow

and force doctors to check for and report madcow
