Interesting Dean Web site

Saw this from a George Will column on there:

First, Mr. George Will had the following to say regarding the candidacy of Dr. Dean:
"Some in the White House believe that true independents -- those whose votes really are up for grabs, as distinguished from those who call themselves independents but almost always vote one way -- are only about 7 percent of the electorate.
If so, the 2004 election, even more than most elections, will turn on the parties' abilities to turn out their committed supporters. And some in the White House are beginning to worry about Dean because he understands that venting may be a practical precursor to governing: Venting energizes the party's base.
That is why some in the White House say they worry that Dean might be an especially dangerous opponent."

Hmmm... Maybe this explains why Rove is saying Dean is the candidate Bush wants to face? Trying a little Rovian reverse psychology, perhaps.

but he just may find that all his machination come up a cropper. and into the crapper for Bush.

Real Clear Politics, a conservative political site, has joined PoliPundit in trying to convince Republicans to donate to Howard Dean's campaign:

"Tossing a few million Dean's way to help propel him to the nomination will be money well spent: the guy is flat out unelectable... So I'm off to Howard Dean's website to chip in twenty beans. I suggest you do the same. Political parties only commit suicide every so often, and if the Dems have decided they're going to stick their head in the oven in 2004, I'm ready to pony up a few bucks for a chance to watch it happen."

Even if that blogspot is a pro-Dean site it's meaningless, probably just one of many sites created by the same anti-war liberals who have the time and resources to make them. I could make a fascists for Dean or fundementalists for Dean(or any other candidate) site if I wanted to and it wouldn't prove that they are broadly appealing at all

Rove relishing the prospect of running a campaign against Dean, and now George Will reporting the opposite.
