Republicans For Kerry
Edited on Sat May-22-04 02:44 AM by Cascadian
Ran across these websites tonight.

http://www.republicansforkerry.org/

http://www.conservativesforkerry.com/

The Repubs are giving up in numbers. Finally some clarity is coming through. Barring some catastrophic event, Bush is doomed!

1. I know dozens
of dyed-in-the-wool, lifelong Repubs who are eagerly voting for Kerry. I know several former Nader supporters who are grudgingly voting for Kerry. I know ZERO former Gore supporters who are going over to Bush or Nader. Sure, it's only anecdotal evidence, but.....

2. Same is true here!
No fence sitters this time! They see the difference between Kerry and Bush! People don't like being lied to on a daily basis by the Jesus Freak in Chief! I'm seeing everybody from business people to grandma and grandpa who are tired of the way things have gone and who are switching over to vote democratic! One lady I know, has voted Repub all her life and is now 82, switched to Dem before the primary and voted for John Kerry!

3. My grandfather has always voted his conscience
despite being a registered Repub. He switched to Democrat this year. He is 88, a WWII veteran, a former business owner, and is disgusted.

I have found my gradfather to be a pretty good litmus test for elderly moderates in our area.

4. My Right Wing Employers have flipped.
4 months ago my employers wife was saying, "I'm voting for *"

Now she's saying, "I won't vote for *, that's for sure."

I have been bombarding them with FACTS that can not be debunked. I've printed out the * resume and left it lying around the office. I've caught all of them(family business) reading my fact pages.

The nephew(our engineer) is one of us. His uncle(owner & ceo) has resisted up until a few weeks ago. I literally took him to the PNAC page and pointed out who the authors were and what the subject matter is. He read it.

He came to me a few days later and was in shock.

I then took him to the original Taguba report and showed him the date.

He is in overload now that the truth has come out about Chalabi. He asked me how I knew about this stuff months ago. I just smiled and told him I like to be INFORMED.

Our production manager is still, quietly, a bushbot, but he said he can't bring himself to vote this election. He is one of the 30% that will support shrub no matter what. He knows I think he's ignorant, so he doesn't say much to me anymore.

Kerry/Edwards or Kerry/Clark

Either way, America wins.

5. I love these sites.
There is no reason that a reasonable Republican should vote for Bush. He's nothing but deficits, deficits and more deficits. The only people that should vote for Bush are extreme Christian Right Wing Theocrats.

6. These aren't the religious right though?
to me it seems like the moderates or soft right can be swayed, its the nra-christian coalition crowd that promote moranoray (neogolism)

I'm sick of hearing bush is a man of God. With Christians like bush who needs satan?
