2. Colleges do--not sure about high schools
I think condoms should be available to students if they ask for them. And in order to satisfy parents there should be a form mailed home that allows them to "opt out" if they don't want their children to get them. That form would be kept by the nurse or whomever is in charge of dealing with students' health needs.

4. At my high school
There is no info on birth control, abortion, nor are there condoms.

I was at Rice though a couple days ago, and they sold condoms in the vending machine.

6. Yes
They are available at the colleges here.

In high school, we had a Teen Health Center where condoms were available in a basket on the counter. They also had information available on birth control and abstinence. At least a few of the other high schools have Teen Health Centers, but I'm not sure if all of them do, but I'm pretty sure that condoms are available in some fashion in all the high schools. I'm not aware whether the middle schools here make them available or not.

7. No, and the sex education given is misleading
I live in a liberal area and I'm shocked by the sex education given. My kids were told given no accurate information on birth control. She was taught that you would become pregnant if you used a condom because they are not foolproof. The teacher implied that every time you had sex with a condom you would become pregnant. Nothing about odds, how to use condoms, other forms of birth control. The whole course was designed to scare kids to not have sex and that only abstinence works. I know how I would have reacted to that if I hadn't gotten more accurate information. It would be hard to insist on protection if everyone around you thought that it offered none.

I'm a parent, so I'm not advocating teen promiscuity. I do strongly support accurate information. Lucky for me, my daughter came home infuriated at the "lessons" and asked for better information.
