Hoping Rhodes makes good on her threat
I know there are many die-hard fans of Rhodes here but she grates on my nerves and to be frank when I read that she said she might not come back to Air America, I felt this would be a good thing.

And if she truly is unhappy about her job at Air America then it is in her best interest to leave the show and station for all concerned (both her and the network) because she won't do as good a job if she is unhappy.

I know some consider it heresy to criticize either Rhodes or Air America but this is my opinion.

1. If She Is Unhappy in NYC....
and her move to AAR, then go for it. Life is too short to be miserable in a job or city you don't like. Radio is a tough place to work anyway. She has a kid right?

Hope Malloy is considered if she bolts

2. I like to listen to her
But I wil say that she sometimes comes across as believing that she is the ONLY person who has been talking about the issues.

3. I'm really sorry but...
what's up with Randi? Did she threaten to walk or something. I haven't been listening in a while.

4. Don't understand why they couldn't set her up in Florida
ieamerica did it - Malloy was in Atlanta, Hartmann in Vermont, etc. She could have broadcast from that 5000 sqft house she comes moaning about...

I would only miss her in that she is AAR's "anchor store" - she has a large audience that goes where she goes. I would much prefer Mike Malloy - especially with all the shit that's hit the fan recently, and going into the election.

5. 5000 SQUARE FEET??
As I stumble through life with 5 people shoehorned into a fast 1500 sq ft (INCLUDING a partially remodeled basement AND undergoing constant rebuild since 2000) my heart simply BLEEDS for Ms Rhodes.

Some of us lefties are a lot closer to the bottom then others.

6. Gee, maybe she should sell it - ya know, be closer to "the people"

Good for her if she has a 5000 sf home. Are we now defining "true believers" by the size of their houses?

If so, be careful - ya never know who's got what...

8. Oh give it a rest.
Rhodes sounds like one of my Right Wing Peckerhead bosses: Bitching that they want a bigger house/car/boat.

Blah, blah, blah. Get some REAL problems, Randi.

how much house is enough? how many trees? how much copper? how much power to cool or heat it? i do judge people in part, by how much of our resources they fell entitled to.

7. Why? She's the best that AAR has to offer
I wish they would get veteran radio personalities, like Guy James or Malloy.

10. You guys are nuts
Randi is the best and most informed I have ever heard, Malloy came close but not quite the store of truth as Randi. It's like she spends 10 hours a day here at DU. Her style may grate somewhat but what she says is 98% spot on and she can tear a RWer a new one like Guy James could only have wet dreams about.

She may have a big house, and understandibly misses it and her daughter, but she has earned it by consistently being No. 1 in her very conservative market area. She is a big fish in the small pond that is AAR. Is there any reason Al should do his show from a real broadcast stodio while they stick her into an unairconditioned production room that doesn't even have a cough button?

She will not leave, she is on a mission to get the BFEE out, and she is very good at it. She has worked too long to go national to get her, OUR, word out about these goons in office.

11. Thank you, Steviet, she can grate on my last nerve any time cause
she is what this country needs. She earned that 5000 sf right here in Palm Beach County, beating out Limballs every time in the ratings. She does her homework to pass info to us listeners and she does it well. If you put me in a match box apartment and a basement radio station and I would be a bitch like you never saw before. You go Randi cause you ROCK!

13. My pleasure, it needed saying
Cripes, if you don't like her style, turn the dial, but don't go around bashing a very important and effective voice for OUR side.

12. We Feed On Our Own
Sometimes I look at the Democratic Party and I just have to shake my head. Randi is great, people like BartCop are great, but they're constantly under attack from liberals and Democrats -- probably almost as much as Republicans and conservatives.

I don't get it.

15. You are so right!
I have noticed that is an on-going problem right here in our own back yard. I wouldn't give you .02 to listen to O'Franken but Randi gets the job done in half the time. Yes, she annoys the hell out of me sometimes but...

But I love her for what she is doing.

I listen to her every day.
