Be honest, you know that any single scandal of this Bush regime
would have resulted in Clinton's being impeached. What will it take to get rid of this evil regime? Pick anyone of the below and add your own to the list. Which onw should Bush be impeached over.

1. Continuing to read to elementary school children while US attacked on 9/11.
2. Lying about WMDs
3. Dragging the US into and unprovoked invasion of a sovereign nation.
4. Biggest deficit in history.
5. Tax breaks for the wealthy setting a course of historic deficits for the next generation.
6. Lying about the economy
7. Withholding needed actions to quell the energy crisis in CA for political reasons.
8. ENRON
9. Blowing the cover of a CIA agent for political reasons.
10. Getting Executive Department officials to lie about Medicare costs.
11. Trying to bribe a Congressman from his own party to vote for the Medicare bill.
12. Soldiers not having needed equipment.
13. Prison abuses (at home and Abu Gharib)
14. Killing innocent Iraqis and then lying about it.
15. The sinking of a Japanese fishing boat while joy riding political contributors on a US sub.
16. "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED"
17. Illegally using Medicare ads.
18....

1. Thanks for putting this list together
I agree totally. ANY one of these would have sufficed for the Big Dog. I get depressed when I think about this, though, so I try not to.

10. I too totally agree, but these are but small prices they are willing to
pay to implement their neocon/PNAC agenda.

3. so many:
Letting the bin Ladens fly days after the attack.
Stonewalling and footdragging the 9/11 commission. (He actually refused to appoint it for more than a year.)
War profiteering.
Having an uncle who launders money for Saudi royals who funded the 9/11 hijackers.
Cripling the Constitution with the Patriot Act.
Not finding the "anthrax mailer."
Having been "selected" in the first place (the Republicans would never have said "it's time to move on.")

And I'm only stopping because I don't have the time to continue.

don't forget that one.

Clinton wouldn't have gotten away with it. Gore wouldn't have.

...Expert statesmanship that forced Chinese to return our spy plane in a million easy-to-assemble-pieces. How many others from early on have we forgotten because this idiot keeps getting worse.

26. Exactly, Tn Al! (Doni's Husband)
The key for * to win the election is for him to lower American expectations so far that even a "dead-cat bounce" in the economy (meaning that even a dead cat will bounce once if you drop it from high enough) will be hailed as major, decisive proof of how well *'s "policies" "work." For example: gas prices will spike to $2.35 or $2.40/gallon or so over the summer, then fall back to about $1.85 or $1.90 right befoe the election (duh, it's early-to-mid-autumn, kids are in school, and both heat and A/C are less needed). Will anyone point out that in 18 months, gas prices have risen 30%, and for much of that time were as much as 50% higher? Nope. The party line will be how gas prices have DROPPED 20% in only three months. Watch them do it. Of course, if this ruse works - I sure hope it won't, but most of the people I live around down here are so stupid they couldn't find their own asses with both hands and a flashlight - then we will see the prices jump even higher due to "higher winter demand." Or something. Then our kids will be drafted to enable the invasion of Cuba. Or someplace.

Which brings me to a point about the National Guard: with so many of our guardsmen overseas, I'm sure there will be something in Patriot Act II to mobilize a homeland-security force - which will be under the control of Homeland Security and not the Defense Department. If that happens, my great fear is that only a military defeat of Third-Reich proportions is going to dislodge these assholes from power. And with the nukes that they have at their disposal, that will be frightening indeed.

Just think, if the Repubs had listened to Al Franken and used his push-poll idea in South Carolina and Virginia, we might be discussing how difficult it will be to defeat President McCain instead of having so many areas of incompetence (viz. all posts in this thread!) that we can't possibly focus on any of them for any length of time.

I would recommend a fugue strategy for getting the Democratic message out: we start with one issue, set a specific tone and meter, stick with it and develop it. Then, add the next issue and weave it in, then another, then another, always staying with the meter and tone, until a compelling, coherent, easily perceptible symphony of TRUTH begins to drown out the braying, brassy, repetitive chorus of the tone-deaf ideological neocons. As long as we're all playing on different pages, even if we're playing the same music, it sounds like what it is - disorganized. People need and want clarity in message. The neocons provide that. (Thankfully, they're still providing it, but not the way they want!)

7. Remember Reagan's scandals?
Hundreds of indictments aqnd most of those convicted. The most scandal-ridden administration in history-- even worse than Grant or Harding.

But did it mean a thing?

Nixon didn't teach them to be honest-- he taught them how to get away with it.

Didn't some republican brownshirts break into the computers that housed the Democratic strategy for handling the chimp's judicial nominations?

The dead-ended anthrax investigatons, where they tried to whack daschle and leahy, and succeeded at killing some peasants, still pisses me off. Instead, the crisco kid spies on hookers.

13. Remove #1
In my opinion, it's including things like #1 in the rest of the list that allows some people in our country to ignore the whole list. #1 is beyond most people's imagination, so when they hear it, they just automatically think that anybody who would think that has nothing useful to say.

16. Actually, I think we should just remove your Post #13 from this thread....
...because anyone who reads your post will automatically think that you have nothing useful to add to this thread.

Additionally, anyone that denies that Junior continued to read to the children in that 2nd grade classroom AFTER he was told by Andy Card that the 2nd plane had hit the WTC is either in a complete state of denial about Junior's actions on 911, or is deliberately attempting to spread disinformation.

24. It's a fact
that Dubya travelled to his photo op after being apprised of the first crash. It's a fact that he sat on his ass after being told of the second. The list says squat about MIHOP. The compulsion to play hall monitor against looking like "one of those kinds" of Democrats is a big reason Bushco has gotten away with as much as they have.

We don't need irrelevant silliness to make a case against Bush. That's all I'm saying. At this point, who gives a crap whether he read a book or not. There is so so so much more against him than that.

22. This Republican controlled Congress won't enforce the law against W
As long as the GOP holds onto Congress it will be impossible to reign in an out of control ideologue like Dubya. In 1974 the GOP didn't have enough guys in Congress to block Nixon's impeachment, so they relented but they've been simmering ever since and as they showed with Clinton, they can launch a frivilous impeachment at the drop of a hat and did and as long as they're in control of congress they'll simply use their position to launch "House investigations" of anyone even remotely connected to Kerry (a'la Whitewater) and then try to impeach the democrat president (ANY Democrat president) on trumped-up charges. So not only must we get back the White House, but we have to restore Congress as well.

Okay, it wouldn've gotten him impeached because the Washington Concensus would say it's the 'right' thing to do, but in a sane world..it should be counted.
