Even scarier, check out the US map

(I see my neighbor, Warren Buffet, gave $2,000 to Bob Graham On edit: I see Jimmy Buffet did, too. I wonder if there's a connection... :) )

4. Clearly Biased.
Look at the map. There is very little support for Kerry.

If anything that map should be almost all blue.

There is no way that there is that much support for Bush.

5. Warren and Jimmy are distant cousins
And, by the way, Jimmy Buffett campaigns for Democratic candidates frequently in Alabama.

9. Plug: newsmeat.com is much better
I know it's kinda fun to look at fundrace because they have that address match feature, but the data they publish does not match the FEC's official database, so I don't know how accurate it is. Plus, it only covers the 2004 election cycle, and only contributions to presidential candidates.

newsmeat.com shows ALL donations over $200 made to any candidate for federal office (or any PAC) from 1993 to the present.

You get a much more holistic view of someone's politic with this type of data than you do with the limited data provided on fundrace.org.

/plug :-)

10. This is cool
I live in Freeperworld, Alabama, but it turns out several of my neighbors donated to Democrats. It's encouraging, really.
