I was watching Super Millionaire a couple of days ago and there was a
young man on there that had been an intern in the Whitehouse in late ninties. He said Buddy had biten him and it drew blood. Anyone ever hear of this incident?

1. I heard the guy on Super Millionaire. My question whould
be, "What did you do to Buddy?" LAbs are know for their gentle nature. I don't believe his story, but if this did happen, I suspect Buddy felt threatened, or felt his master was being threatened.

I can't believe some NUT would be persuing a political agenda on a game show!

I also assume no one told this guy Clinton ISN'T RUNNING AGAIN!!!

2. Oh it didn't seem like any sort of political attack just an interesting
occurance but I am surprised it never made the news. Or if it did I missed it somehow.

4. Who knows what he means by "bite...." I'm always amazed & dismayed
at the degree to which people who don't like and have never spent time around dogs will percieve "aggression." I've seen people suggest that lab puppy "mouthing" behavior to be "biting." While pups teething can sometimes inadvertently inflict damage from their little sharp puppy teeth, this is certainly not aggression. Other people seem to think any dog that barks at them is overly aggressive.

I always try to be patient with people like this and attempt to educate them, but it can be a real problem.... For this reason, I really appreciate seeing parents take time to introduce their young children to dogs (under their careful supervision) and to teach them the right way to approach a strange dog. When walking my dog, I always take the time to pause and place my dog in a "sit," to allow for a child to pat her (if the parent expresses interest and consent to do so). Children who grow up taught only to "fear dogs," are not only missing a wonderful life experience, but also have no understanding of dog behavior or body language that signals intent. They are at a disadvantage in more ways than one, IMO.

3. Labs are also know for their inbred nature
and puppies love to nibble. I'll bet you it was unintentional & just makes for an interesting anecdote for a gameshow intro.

either way, he's a wuss

5. Pretty sad comment "wuss" about an SS agent!
I know 2 current agents and 1 former one. I sure wouldn't use that adjective about any of them. Sorry, I still think it was political. The ex-agent I worked with was an agent during the Kennedy and Johnson admin. He did his job, but was obviously a Pub. Some of the weird stories he told me about Johnson were to make me dislike Johnson, even though he had been out of office for a number of years by then.

8. There was a report that Buddy had bitten one of the guys in
uniform but not an intern. It did get reported. But apparently it was no big deal...it was a small bite. What? Was this guy complaining about it or was he trying to start something about the Clinton's dog being vicious?

10. No he wasn't starting anything ~ Just an unusual thing to talk about
I didn't perceive it as a slam against Clinton or Buddy. Just something to talk to Regis about that was a little interesting. that's all. I had just never heard any news about such. Was curious if anyone else had heard about this.

11. Blame the game show system. They ask all contestants for stories.
It's part of the application process. They want cute anecdotes and they make you give several. Then, they just pick one at air time, and the contestant doesn't even know which one they'll pick. Not up to them.

I've been on Jeopardy and Win Ben Stein's Money; both times I gave at least 3 stories and didn't know which one they were going to mention.

12. This did not sound like a big dea on the show
The contestant said that he was an engineer supervising some project at the WH. This did not sound like a big deal.
