6. It doesn't help that some RW's are still promoting this.
There was a guest on C-Span this morning, Lori something, who is supposed to be a mid-east expert, who tried to convince everyone that the four guys directly under OBL are all related (brothers, and an uncle) and are the links to Saddam. There were a few callers that told her she was wrong, but she appeared to be fairly intelligent and presented her point fairly well.

She is, however, a very bad speaker.

There were more than just a few callers that challenged her. Probably equal between the two parties.

No one that thinks for themselves and that can read, Will take this women seriously.

Can somebody explain why anyone puts such a crackpot on television at all? She should be in the conspiracy threads in the basement with the other - ahem - folks.

I know he said it once, kind of off handed, but he knows which buttons to push.

I tried and tried to call in, but always got a busy signal

I would have told him a thing or two...

5. that is unbelievable..
does make one admire the propaganda campaign unleashed on the general public..what a major success..it takes some kind of ability to convince a population that freedom is being brought to those thousands of miles away, whilst your freedoms at home are being withered away..

11. technically, Iraq has much to do with it.. but *not* in the assumed way
Now, I don't think for a minute that Husayn had anything to do with the events--indeed, those that did consider him a hypocrite, an apostate and an enemy. That's not what I'm talking about.

Bombing the Iraqi nation at will for an entire decade and pursueing the genocidal sanctions regime--responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis--had much to do with some "al-Qai'dah" operations. For example, the USS Cole was punished for enforcing the genocidal sanctions program, yet it is called a "terrorist" attack.

Glad to hear Tweety went after him on that; he was pretty relentless on why didn't GWB go to Vietnam.

19. Very quietly Bush has said there is no connection to 9-11, Cheney has
Edited on Thu May-27-04 12:18 AM by Zinfandel
admitted there was absolutely no connection, the CIA, the FBI, Powell, Rumsfeld, all have said the same, absolutely no connection...

The invasion was, is, for corporate profits...Cheney's, Halliburton is stealing the American tax payers blind, our taxes are paying for the oil companies who can't reap the stolen profits, because the Iraqi's would rather blow up pipelines than allow the blatant rip-off by BushCo. The setting up of huge US air bases in Iraq, for future invasions for oil, the weapons makers (Pappy Bush's & the Saudis Carlyle Group) are making a killing. the smokescreen of the real problems in our country are being ignored, because of intentional diversion of Bush's "never ending" wars, terrorism and promoting fear for votes.

Is bin Laden in Iraq? I don't think so, do you? Then what the fuck are we doing in there? Creating hatred, killing iraqi's, soldiers dying and creating more terrorist...are we there to promote fear for proit the evil Bush fascist to win an election...Don't ask any questions. Remember, there's an "imminent threat to the US" that we heard over and over and over again, from Hussein's WMD? Where are they? The UN and the inspectors told the world there weren't any, and there's not! now Bush is crawling back to the UN to bail him out.

As the corporate media (talk radio, cable) never ever blow the story out of the water about the lies, that Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11...keep the masses stupid.

And now this bullshit 9-11 commission will distort things even more.

the lies are so unbearably obvious, it's just sickening...and the freepers just say, yep...Rush is right, it's the liberals lying, George wouldn't steal a penny...

20. I Sent a Letter to the Editor Reminding Everyone of that
Referencing an editorial my paper wrote saying people should recall 9-11 when they think of Mike Berg.

The paper called me to confirm it was I who sent in the letter, so I'm hoping to see it printed tomorrow. I wrote that B* admitted Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11, and Colin Powell said there was no connection between Iraq and al qaida.

It helps to write TV news anchors too, to let them know that some of us are not idiots, and we know that B* is lying, why don't they???

21. Can anyone provide a link to an article in a 'reputable source'
where * is admitting/says outright that there's no connection between 9/11 and Saddam Hussein. I know he said it, just don't know where to find it.

I'm going to print it out and hang it up at work with the relevant sentences highlighted. I'm gonna have a few of these in case the first one I hang up 'gets disappeared' ;-)

Thanks in advance.
