Howard Dean to have syndicated political column.
http://www.burlingtonfreepress.com/bfpnews/news/4000h.htm

SNIP...."Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean has signed a deal with a California firm to become a nationally syndicated newspaper columnist, starting next week.

"He's just really excited about this," said Laura Gross, communications secretary for Democracy for America, the grass-roots advocacy group Dean started after his bid for the Democratic presidential nomination ended in February...."

SNIP..."Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but an official for the syndicate confirmed the arrangement Wednesday and said Dean's weekly column would be sent to 700 newspapers beginning next week.

"He is a well-known name and people consider him a very credible person," said Cari Dawson Bartley, executive editor and marketing director for Cagle Cartoons of Santa Barbara, Calif...."

2. I know one paper that won't carry his column...
The Washington Post. I'm surprised they still carry E.J Dionne. The Post has some great reporters, but their editorial staff caters to the Zell Miller wing of the Democratic Party.

9. More about this group.

SNIP..."The former Vermont governor and energetic presidential contender has signed on with Cagle, a company that syndicates political columns and cartoons, to write a weekly column that will be immediately available to more than 500 publications nationwide, according to Cari Dawson Bartley, executive editor and marketing director of Cagle Cartoons Inc.

"We asked editors around the country if they were interested in him and they were," Dawson Bartley said, adding that it was Cagle who courted Dean for the role.

"We wanted Dean's voice because he'll have a different flavor than what we're doing," she said, because right now Cagle is syndicating more conservative voices than Dean's, with its two star columnists, Dick Morris, Clinton ally turned critic, and Michael Reagan." (Odd company for Dean.LOL"

Here is the home page of Cagle:
