. . .and I agree with the "phony" assessment, but I don't think a college degree necessarily makes an intellectual. You can be an intellectual without one.

5. True. The reason I bring it up..

is that one time Al Franken was somewhat mocking him and Trebek said something to the effect of "why don't you go to college and get a degree?".

At least I'm sure it was Franken anyway.

Did he donate to any other 'Pukes? I wonder if it was a stealth anti-Shrub move. Hagel's no fan of BushCo. I think he's being groomed for a "kinder, gentler" GOP ticket in '08--perhaps with McCain.
