my comment to CNN regarding "Al Qaeda wants Kerry for Prez"
This is what I wrote:

I just heard on your show that Al Qaeda wants John Kerry to be President. Essentially you are telling your audience "a vote for Kerry is a vote for terrorists."

What proof do you have for that? You couldn’t find experts who think that since President Bush was so unsuccessful in his war on terrorism, Al Qaeda would rather have him in the White House? Or is the White House paying you for disseminating their propaganda?

This is so utterly disgusting. How dare you call MY vote a vote for terrorists.

xxx

I am so f*cking mad. :nuke:

7. Why? They have been done so well with Bush in office.
OBL is still rambling around Afghanistan. They managed to do some serious damage in Spain, and wit hall our energies focused in Iraq they are being virtually ignored.

8. It goes both ways
According to what Al Qaeda claims to stand for, they should want Kerry as president. It isn't about appeasing terrorists or being weak on national security, it is about respecting the people of the Middle East. On the other hand, Bush is the best thing that's ever happened to Al Qaeda. Because of Bush, they are much stronger and more influential than ever.

But who cares who Al Qaeda would rather have as president. Voting for either is in no way a vote for terrorists. This is pretty low, even for CNN.

9. Just sent this off.
Ms. Arena,

I can't believe I just heard this nonsense about the terrorists wanting Kerry to win on your station. Since when did CNN become shills for the Bush White House? This is an example of disgusting yellow journalism that is far better suited to Fox News. There hasn't been a better recruiting tool for terrorists than George W. Bush and his illegal war in Iraq. Don't you people realize you have a responsibility to report the facts and not wild speculation that could impact a national election? I cannot possibly express my anger and contempt for you and your station in mere words. You are nothing more than a propaganda outlet for the neo-cons and you make my skin crawl. It is quite apparent that journalistic integrity is something completely beyond your ken. Shame on you.

10. Terrorists want Bush* to win.
By voting for Bush*, you are appeasing the demands of clinic bombers and Timothy McVeigh types who want to threaten the federal government.

11. And CNN has this information how?
If CNN has sources in Al Qaida I'm sure John Ashcroft et al. would be very interested to know more.

What crapulant speculation.

13. Karl Rove...
is the source.

In fact, as pointed out in the original post, if Al Qaeda has a preference in the election it would VERY CLEARLY be for BUSH, who has proven to be so incompetent that in their wildest dreams Al Qaeda could not have hoped for a better scenario.

In fact,

14. "Because of this we desire you (Bush) to be elected."

CAIRO (Reuters) -

WE WANT BUSH TO WIN

The statement said it supported President Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry, as it was not possible to find a leader "more foolish than you (Bush), who deals with matters by force rather than with wisdom."

In comments addressed to Bush, the group said:

"Kerry will kill our nation while it sleeps because he and the Democrats have the cunning to embellish blasphemy and present it to the Arab and Muslim nation as civilization."

"Because of this we desire you (Bush) to be elected."

The group said its cells were ready for another attack and time was running out for allies of the United States.

"Whose turn is it next? Will it be Japan or America, or Italy, Britain or Oslo or Australia?" the statement said, adding Pakistan and Saudi Arabia were also targets.

The group is named after Muhammed Atef, also known as Abu Hafs, a close bin Laden aide killed in the U.S.-led war in Afghanistan.
