Serious Threats to Bush
Does anybody like him

There are "serious threats" hanging over President Bush's planned visit to Rome next week, according to the Italian government.

Italian Interior Minister Giuseppe Pisanu said authorities were bracing for possible disturbances.

1. Given that two million Romans protested against the war in Iraq
I wouldn't be surprised if more than a few of them showed up to show their disapproval of George Bush!

2. If he is "harmed" imagine the sympathy bump
our brave commander in chief would get.

8. I would be skeptical if...
he were "injured", but managed to survive an attack. Sounds like the sort of stunt they might be setting up. :tinfoilhat:

3. there is nothing more I would like to see than Bush's visit be
cancelled due to the absolute chaos that would occur due to protests over the Iraq war.

I would love to see it happen--

err George, perhaps the best and the safest thing for you would be to NOT come here. We have some people who do not like it very much that we would honor your visit with a red carpet welcome.

In fact, it would cost us a whole lot of money jsut to have you strut aroung here, especially since you went AWOL yourself

Please, George, we do not want your visit. Make up any excuse you need to save face--we do not want you to visit here.

6. I would imagine
The Pope would like to slap some sense into him.

God forbid that something should happen to the fearless leader <gag>
Things are going swell for the emperor. He's running for election and he has a slight chance <gag again> because of the support of the fundies. <puking now>

7. I've finally come to the conclusion,
this guy DOES NOT GET IT. He must think he's welcome the world over, smiling and waving his beauty-queen-in-the-convertible wave.

I just read the article over on Yahoo news, and the Italian leader covered for him completely, saying that "Bush is doing his best to create a stable Iraq, etc etc cover blab alibi bla".

I was so disgusted when I read the article. And guess how many security people will be on duty? Try 10,000!!!! Not counting several thousand from the US who are already there.

Mr. Berlusconi said they needed to discuss the situation in Iraq. So what the hell is wrong with his phone?????
