2. You know, what's really funny about this is that THIS IS JUST
A SCIENCE FICTION MOVIE, FREEPERS!! Isn't it scary that in the RW ideological model, just as in the Soviet model, all media must spew the RW line? Even Sci-fi movies? Absolutely frightening and totalitarian.

3. You better add my 9.50 to the pile.
I paid for Shrek because it was sold out last night. I had to do to a second theater because the midnight show was sold out. They had 2 12:30 showings at the other theather and they were both sold out. I paod for Shrek and went to this movie instead. This was in Westbury, NY

6. Even if movies are
not scientifically accurate, they can still be good movies. I hope this is a good movie because I love action/adventure/doomsday films. When I see a film, the LAST thing I go for is reality. I go to forget reality and to be entertained. If, in the process, it makes some people think more about our future, so much the better.

8. I saw it yesterday
I liked the movie - it was very entertaining. The special effects were terrific and the acting was good, too. It is thought provoking and well done. I would even see it again!

BTW, my husband and I were only 2 of about 10 people in the theater! (We went to a lunch time matinee).

7. Ok, I just came back from the movie.
Oh, my god, this movie is awesome. Yes, subplots were typical holywood stuff but even these worked. And FX are just plain gorgious!!
We went to see Saturday morning show and the thearter was 70% full. I also noticed lots of people became very quiet about half way through.

I can tell you one thing. If the critic does not say this movie is 'working', they are lying or prejudiced. It is the best kind of diserster movie.

I want to see it again but I guess I have to wait till DVD. ( We have a little baby so we have to hire a babysitter whenever we go out alone.)

Oh,one more thing. The movie is Scifi but it is a decent extrapolation of established theories. The movie is not stupid at all.

9. 2 LATE SHOWS were SOLD OUT!!!!
I was at the theater last night and the 10 pm and 10:20 shows were sold out! The 10:30 was the talk of the long line, too.

10. I saw it in NYC last night
every show was sold out! It's a fun movie. Everybody in the theatre laughed at the president and vice presidents! they laughed a lot at the americans running into mexico and when they announced that they were forgiving latin american debt. I'd recommend it just for the fun of it. There were a couple of people outside from moveon.org handing out global warming info too. All around a fun night. :)
