Republican meme ... Big Al is Ka-RAZY!
Edited on Sat May-29-04 12:56 PM by Pepperbelly

Since they are so bereft of actual solutions for any of the myriad problems described by the Honorable Al Gore in his MoveOn.ORG speech nor any response to any of the scathing indictments of the patriotism, honor, and competence of the Bush Administration, they resort to what they always resort to: lies.

Big Al is Ka-RAZY!

It appears as though each and every pundit and pundette (thugs and thugettes) got their talking points and now they're talking, putting the meme out there and hoping it sticks.

Charles Krauthammer, on FOX News Channel's Special Report with Brit Hume, on May 26:

It looks as if Al Gore has gone off his lithium again.

:grr: edited because my typing can SUCK!!!@@

3. in other words, he's hitting too close to home for comfort
and they have to divert attention away from his message by resorting to personal attacks.

Al's clearly doing the right thing, the message he is putting out is an excellent one that the right wingers KNOW resonates.

Every dem should start putting out this exact same message

5. Krauthammer should know all about projection -
maybe it's just a mood I am in but I am actually starting to feel sorry for these people. Don't worry, it'll pass.

8. It's not just Krauthammer
It's a GOP Talking Point.

They're allsaying it, in unison. So you know that a memo came out right after the speech.

It's like saying, "You don't have to listen to Al Gore. He's crazy."

There's only one problem -- every day, more and more people see through the tricks and the lies.

9. This is great!!!!

Regardless of how ridiculous this is ... it's GREAT for us. You see, they are picking a fight with the wrong guy. It's like the heavyweight champion fighting the challenger AND the guy he beat last time.

Al Gore is going to go mad dog on George Bush. Hopefully, Bill Clinton will join in as well. This allows Kerry to "stay positive" and look "presidential". Remember what they did to Dean.

I think that Kerry is very muted intentionally. He can't give them any ammo to use against him. The fact is that this is not a contest between Kerry and Bush. Kerry has the credentials that Bush did not. It is a REFERENDUM on Bush's presidency to date.

The paleo-cons are jumping ship on Bush. And I dare say they will start distancing themselves in order to position themselves for election in 06 and 08. When they start investigating the Bush administration, the shit WILL hit the fan.

10. Republicans don't want you to wish Al Gore were president
Republicans want your first thought to be Al Gore's crazy. How much different our world would be now if Gore were president! It makes me sad to think what we lost in 2000. That would be a powerful political commerical. The contrasts would be very easy to point out too. A major difference would be THOUSANDS of people alive or whole (and Pat Tillman wouldn't be dead because of friendly fire). And the WHOLE world would be on our side in the fight against the bin ladens of the world instead of the whole world hating us BECAUSE OF that lying lunatic Bush*. Its very sad what we lost because of ONE man!

14. They do this all the time
Remember McCain in 2000? They said he was mentally unstable. That he had illegitimate black children. That his wife was nuts.

They audially enhanced Howard Dean's scream and cut out the crowd noise.

Not to mention all the craziness they accused the Clintons for.

note: They do NOTHING to refute what Al Gore said.

15. I don't know what it is if I just feel stronger or all the insults of the
past three years have made me impervious to this kind of
bull shit. In 2000 there would have been a corner of my
mind that would have been second guessing Al Gore. Now
I think take your best shot, who cares, I know what the truth is.
