Bill Clinton is on C-Span2 now! 1:00 AM EST.
He's talking about his new book on Booknotes. Yes, I'm tired, but I can't resist staying up to listen to a President who can actually speak full sentences, using more than 2 sylable words, and even make sense!

When I hear Shrub, I only realize how much I niss Bill! He;s being introduced now.

1. I had to add this! During the intro, his editor said
Bill Clinton was the first Democrat to be elected to two terms in 6 decades, and IF HE WERE TO BE OFFERED A THIRD, HE'D WIN AGAIN!

I needed a few smiles tonight!

3. Didn't they show this live the other day?
I saw him on C-Span a few days ago.

4. Yes, it's a re-run from Thursday . So what? I didn't see it then.
If I had, I'd probably watch it again. It's always great to hear a Politician who can actually speak, be understood, and make sense too....all at the same time! It's been such a long time since we've heard that. About 3 1/2 years, I think. :toast:

Dear God,

Please send our country a President that can read, write and speak.
Send us another Bill Clinton!

8. What Delightful Contrasts
I'm Raygunned out...was when I got up this morning (saw the BOLOs anad the first wave of posts on here around 6am)...the VCR & DVD got a real workout tonight, then the local PBS station and now WJC...and what a delight it is to see this again.

For those who didn't see this the first time, this is Clinton unplugged...free flow of thoughts. You see how comfortable this guy is in sharing his knowledge and being in front of an audience. What a contrast to the current pResident...who can barely keep the attention of a 3rd grade class.

Talk about being a great communicator? That hasn't been one like Clinton in my lifetime (JFK included) and knowing he's still isn't 60 yet makes me feel good to know he'll be around to share his great gifts for many years to come.

While I'm sad that Mr. Raygun's gone, I'm sure his family is relieved their suffering and his is over. Let it rest at that. No malice here...at least the man was truly compassionate in his beliefs.

Thank goodness that we still have 2 great ex-Presidents who still contribute a great deal to this country and the world.

9. He remains the greatest public figure of our time.
On thing I've learned from him is to see the world as always evolving, always moving toward some great goal or away from some excess; always moving in and out of periods of intense cultural and political conflict.
