5. A man who, by the way, appears to be
defacing the American flag by using it as an item of clothing.

7. Which reminds me....
I was going to ask: Why do so many people wear "flag" clothing all the time?????

Do the Brits do the same thing, or the Aussies? Anyone else?

Waaaaaaaaaaay back in the 60's, we actually made togas with A flag. We patched our jeans with bits of A flag. It was frowned upon. }(

Now, they just make flag clothes and everybodies doing it and it's suppose to be cool???? I don't get it.

9. The weeping guy is actually distraught because
he lost his VFW's pool on how long Dutch would live. The weeping guy had Reagan shuffling off this mortal coil at 94. So close but no cigar. Of course, it's pretty customary for people like himself to wrap themselves in the flag but his wife's chocolate chip cookies have taken their tollhouse. I predict that the sad bastard will attempt to end it all sometime tomorrow during the National Day of Mourning by hurling himself out of his basement window.

US President George W. Bush (news - web sites). Bush said that he had ordered interrogation methods at Iraqi prisons to conform to US laws and international treaties.(AFP/File/Tim Sloan)

of course, they neglect to mention that he CHANGED the law and ignored the treaty....

12. Would a man in a baby blue tie lie to you?
That color choice is deliberate when he comes out and makes statements like that. There is a real innocence that he is trying to convey in that tie color. It's no accident.

-snip-

"Baby blue, on the other hand, literally puts you to sleep.
Generally speaking, pastels are passive and give the appearance of sweetness."

8. Read the story
SAVANNAH, United States (AFP) - US President George W. Bush (news - web sites) said that he had ordered interrogation methods at Iraqi prisons to conform to US laws and international treaties.
"I'm going to say it one more time. Maybe I can be more clear. The instructions went out to our people to adhere to law. That ought to comfort you," he said at his closing press conference at the G8 summit here.

snip

"I can't remember if I've seen the memo or not, but I gave those instructions," said Bush, who has repeatedly declared himself "disgusted" by the photographs of US soldiers abusing Iraqi detainees.

No evidence, but dammit, just like the handshake deals in Texas, my words should be good!
